Juventus caretaker caught red-handed over 2,000 stolen training tops

It seems that owning the iconic black and white strip is not enough for some hardcore Juventus fans.

Supporters shelled out £160 a time for exclusive training tops when they were stolen from the Turin club's training ground and peddled on the black market.

Juve officials became suspicious when they noticed more than 2,000 - costing £70 each - had disappeared from the club's training ground.

Police set up a hidden camera in the stock cupboard at the Vinovo centre and caught Juve's chief caretaker, Adrian Roberto Oliva, red-handed.

The 36-year-old was filmed hauling handfuls of the tops calmly into black bin liners, completely unaware that he had been rumbled.

He was arrested on this way to Spain where the goods were commanding an even a better price.

Officers found 700 tops in his van and another 400, plus £1,800, in his apartment.

chief caretakers always steal from the club is common practice now? It's not like it was a cashier here doing this.

It's actually quite funny he got caught though. Surely they must have had suspisions before seeing as they put a secret camera.

:O I do mine Legally mate!

But seriously, this is common practice not on such a grand scale, but we have a dirty guy here who is a coach who poaches shirts off players all the time, he ahs them all over his facebook he's a joke, he never hangs them up they just go straight to his wardrobe.
