not bad, not surprised Vieri is top, he's quality, but put Europe into it and I reckon RvN's record is better than 0.75 maybe, quality in Europe he is :D

Vieri's record is more important seen that he plays in a league where is more difficult to score than in the Spanish, English or Dutch one.

Vieri and RvN together would be the perfect attacking duo. Strength, Class, and a bit of poaching ;)

best striker for me is Thierry Henry because of his all round game

Vieri takes the cake, though he's reached the high, so now it`s all downfall.

Signori Zeman ...

I wonder if you could do a similar breakdown of goals-per-match on an International basis, rather than a league basis.

For my money, players show their worth in International matches much more than in league matches. For one, the talent level is often much more even among nations, and the competition may be tougher as pride and the like are at stake.

Of the three players you listed, I would agree that Vieri is probably the most valuable, although Kluivert (I think) is a crucial part of any success Holland may have ... at least more so than Vieri for Italy.

Vieri is without doubt the best striker Inter has had since 15 years. Hope he will continu to score a lot of goals the next two seasons. Although Hernan Crespo easily can make up for him if he doesn't.

I dont think that comparing the goals done in international matches would be better. Goals scored against SanMarino, Lichiestan, Iceland and so on can't be compared with goals against clubs like Torino, Brescia, Reggina that are teams that dont have lot of quality but that are excellent in the defensive part.

i think viery its an excellent striker because playin in a extremely defensive team like inter made 24 goals ( i think) so that's its very good from his part

Exactly. The style of the league is denfensive, but the overall technique of the players in the league is simply outstanding, and the tactics are all tight, so scoring 24 goals in that league is a beautiful achievement.

Exactly, you answered your own question. Holland did not have any success lately ;)

Whenever Vieri plays for the NT he nearly always scores, so I think even on International Level, Vieri proved himself.
