I think that its only if the next club match is within 3 days of the international match.

Lampard
Cole x2
Rio
Rooney
Have I missed anyone out?
Props to them on their miraculous powers of recovery :bowing
Still find it incredible that the person who got the most stick n was actually forced to still travel to the FA to prove himself (despite Lpool doctors offering to send scan results to the FA) didnt play and all everyone else played....
Yes Libertine I know what you said about the actual injuries being pinpointed, but still.....Capello must feel like a bit of a b1tch & should apologise to Rafa for questioning his honesty.

to be fair, Rio and Rooney both missed the game before the england match. It wasn't like they only missed the Germany match

I can certainly see why Liverpool were upset with Gerrard being forced to travel.
But I can see it from Capello's side. It wasn't because it was Gerrard, it was simply because it was the most 'suspicious' injury. He wanted to show that players CAN be asked to turn up and prove it when he wants them too.
So in one way, yes, Gerrard was made a scapegoat - But at the same time, its not unreasonablefor England to request a player to show up and be examined and hopefully it helps to cut down on player withdrawls in the future and further stamped Capello's authority on this team.
