I still havenīt figured out:
1) how do you know if your staff is doing a good job?
2) can you indentify, if there is some one who doesnīt?
3) are there some performance stats to know how they are performing (but the "reputation")
4) do they have any effect on the team anyways?
5) is the "reputation" relevant?

Could you recommend coaches, who have a positive impact?

I'm not sure about this, it would be better if you could assess them in training or something.

I've got Zidane, Pearce, Irwin and some whose names escape me. My teams winning so they must be doing something right.

right, your assistant can give you feedback. if he is telling you a lot a certain player should be playing, if he is a good assitant he will be right. also a good assitant at spotting player potential will mean more players promoted from the youth squad. You should trust your coaches, there isnt a lot of info you can get to tell how they are doing with the exception of your assitant telling you how a pleyer is developing.
The assistant should hvae good skills at identifying player potential and ability, therefore he can help you out by telling you who is good

the assistant and coach will do great effect to your team indeed.

they should:
1) their prefer formation had better be the same with yours
2) be techenical based except who in charge of adapt
3) have high Moti. and Adapt stats
4) assistant should have high management stats

I prefer to let each coach in charge a single job, defend or goal you know, select all item to assistant.

I will build to new practice item, A -- select attack and skill in high strength; D -- select defend and skill in high strength, its will be more efficient especially to youngers.

Judge a coach's ability is so simple, just whatch the player's stats .

Klinsman will be a good coach to enhance your player's attack level.
