If he loses to Sporting he will be sacked or very close to it.

Agreed should have never been appointed manager in the first place. Incredibly average, should have at least gotten you to a CL 1/4 final.

We didn't have much choice when our manager walked out on us 2 weeks before the start of the season.
He's done well domestically, but in all honesty, we had the best team in Portugal the last 2 seasons, and now we don't. Simple as.

JF is not a big game coach.
how many Big teams in big matches has Porto beaten with JF at the helm?
answer = NONE
unless you count benfica as a big team, and the last two seasons they clearly werent.
CL, owned by liverpool, arsenal (its ok to lose but they were simply owned in these games), couldnt beat a inferior shalke team...etc
lost some games with sporting as well, which cost porto a couple of cups.

We weren't owned at anfield, it was 1-1 until 78 mins, we just collapsed. That is our problem..we collapse.
Oh and we beat some big-ish teams...Benfica, Sporting, Marseille...but always at home...benfica and besiktas away
We suck away from home, we really do, and JF sucks in these matches its true.

benfica, marseille, besiktas werent big teams. if tarik can dribble half your team and score you arent a big team. besiktas is turkish and turks always get owned their whole history by portugal in soccer. Benfica wasnt any good last two seasons , especially their infamous 4th placed effort last year. now they bought a new team so i think they are better. ill give you sporting, they are simply majestic.

the point was, Bossanova listed marseilles as a big team. any team that lets tarik score a goal like that on them loses the right to be called a big team in my books.

I think if we sack him mid-season we are doomed.
I'll only want him sacked if we really drop off the pace in the league. Because sacking him will make this season a repeat of 2004/5 for sure.
End of the season he has to go, I just hope he can last until then :s
I also really see nobody to replace him (in Portugal at least, and definitely not mid-season anywhere), so its in our best interests to try and wait until the end of season to get rid of him.
I honestly wouldn't mind getting Paulo Bento once he gets sacked from Sporting (seems kinda inevitable too, despite his good work)
Saying this, 0-0 at HT vs Basle, not a good result for Sporting either. But its only the first half.

Never liked JF, and I agree with most of what you guys have written, I think in the CL when Porto players away he goes in with a negative attitude, meaning makes Porto play Defensive.
Anyone in the world knows that you can't go to Arsenal and play defensively...if you let Arsenal play then get used to pick the ball out of the net a few times.
Nut who would come at coach Porto or any Portuguese team, hopefully someone who likes to attack

Sporting has alot of Portuguese players, look how thats turning out they were in first place and they flushed it down the toilet by losing two games to their rivals.
Portuguese players in general dont play for the heart, they play for the cash. Even on Sporting Moutinho wanted to leave in the summer and veloso isnt a sportinguista he probably prefers benfica but most of all I think he prefers being a metrosexual pretty boy and having gay sex with Djalo.

You have to have a certain amount of youth team players on the bench for CL games though thats the thing. Those guys will never play and will be loaned out at January 99.9% chance of it happening.
Come on Ventura has as good enough chance at playing as Moretto does. Rabiola wont play with better strikers ahead of him already. Hell Hulk barely plays don't you think Rabiola will play ahead of him?lol

oh please, Benfica can pay a lot more than that if they've been able to afford Quique, Koeman, Camacho, Trap, Heynckes, etc.
We should too, we just have a policy of lower-profile coaches.
anyways, I know I wouldn't pay anything for this shit:
Win %
Tottenham Hotspur 39.29
Sevilla 56.39
Málaga 39.47
Espanyol 0
Real Betis 39.47
Rayo Vallecano 37.29
Lleida 42.86
Barcelona B 18.42
Logrońés 52.63
Levante 52.27
Alcoyano 31.58
