a lot of players at their 19-20 played extremely well(owen,raul,beckam,gigs etc).
Why not him.I don't know if he is good enough but if he is he can play good from this age.

Well Barca is full of young players (Rochemback, Motta, Saviola, Riquelme, Xavi, Puyol, Gabri), Laporta in his programm (look at www.joanlaporta.com) has promised players who were already stars and experienced because as he told "Barca cant wait for them to grow for winning" so its sounds as a nosense...
By the way we'll see, I hope Quaresma will be really a good signing

The ones who already are stars are reluctant to go to Barca, cause they don't play CL and have a s***e team at the moment, Real Madrid is simply preferred as we could notice in the Beckham Saga..

Barca is only able to attract younger players in smaller leagues..

Money isn't Barca's biggest problem, it's their status at the moment, if indeed Barca offered more than Madrid, it confirms even more it's Barca's status what matters, Beckham didn't want to go to Barca, cause they don't play CL, players like Beckham want to win the CL, well winning the CL looks far away for this Barca, so he isn't interested and so are all starplayers not interested in Barca atm, only players who play in a smaller league are, but they are not stars, maybe Ronaldinho, but if Real and Man U are also after him, Barca has no chance..

Portuguese rising star Ricardo Quaresma is expected to complete his move to Barcelona following a medical later Thursday afternoon.

The 19-year-old Sporting Lisbon midfielder is already being compared to former Barca winger Luis Figo, and has agreed a four-year contract at the Nou Camp.

Newspaper Marca set the fee for the player at around £4.8 million.

New President Joan Laporta may have been beaten by Real Madrid in the race to sign David Beckham, but Quaresma will become the Catalan side's third signing of the close season.

Turkish keeper Rustu Recber joined last month and defender Rafael Marquez completed his 5 million euros move from Monaco on Wednesday.

Nahhhh..If he had spectacualr games then it would be difficult to sent him back.
but it was easy and I dont see anyone asking for him.

He had the wrong attitude since day one, had problems of behavior, arrived late to training ,I remember an episode with his Cell phone during a game? :laugh

He used to try tricks near our penalty area and when Rijkaard dropped him he had a fit and said Rijkaard isn't giving him the chances. But they can both be equally to blame but Quaresma is the only one who has suffered over this.

the thing with him now he seems lika another player ,i saw the match agaisnt inter and he acted like a real winger ,drbibbled ,passed ,crossed ,evetything ,i would take him back and bench guily ,and i think rijjkard was unfair with he didnt have any communications with from that day that barca bought quaresma and all the people talked about the new figo rijjkard didnt want him to come and he said it ,he wanted some one older than quaresma and look at him now ,he will regret it .

Er...Giuly took an average French side to the Champions League finals and he's already done better than anything Quaresma did at Barca.

Quaresma is a prospect and nothing more. And there are many, many prospects that never amounted to anything because of a bad attitude.

Are any of them coming back. We could use Saviola, since we dont have any decent backups, also Rochemback could be used, since we need more defence players

Is it just me, but Barcas aquad seems a bit too little to last, you cant play ronnies every cup match, ever league match and every european match. Barca has been lucky so far. But look at Makaay, he was allaways fit, always scored, BUT he did manage to get a nasty injury preventing him to play on two of the most important matches of the season(winning schalke we win the top and there is 3 poinst difference, by Winning Arsenal, we progress to quarterfinals of CL

I think Rochemback would be a good player to keep and also a good player to sell and get moeny so it is all good with him.
Saviola is the same but with his wages to high I realy dont see Rijkaard or Laporta wanting him to stay.
Riquelme will prob leave because I dont see him getting in ahaid of Deco and Xavi, we can get good money from him so not bad.
Sergio Garcia will go out on loan again or stay as 3rd choice for the first half of the season then will be loaned out in the winter transfer market because Larsson will prob b back at his best.

Thats what I think anyway
