"I am really disappointed because we deserved the title," Pizarro told Roma Channel.

"What makes me laugh is that I thought this was a fair league when Inter drew with Siena.

"We deserved to win it and had we done so it would have been without the help of others.

"We are disappointed with the way in which we lost the Scudetto. Especially if we think about the penalty against Torino and the game against Livorno.

"We really believed in it but it didn't go our way and so we end the Championship with our heads held high."
- Pizarro

“I may be bitter, but I will not forget that in the two months when Inter had the most difficulties, they won the way everyone saw,” roared De Rossi.

“I did not want to say this before the last game because I didn’t like to further charge up the decisive Sunday, but those are my views on this season.”

Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic has branded those who are against Inter as haters, although he did compliment Roma for their Serie A campaign.

“I thank Stankovic, but it’s easy to give compliments when you win. It’s more difficult for me to compliment them, especially with the way they won it,”

- De Rossi

“Daniele said some logical things and I agree,”

- Spalletti on De Rossi

"Roma and our fans deserved this Scudetto, we wanted and tried to win it but we were not able to," said Mexes.

"We are very angry with the way things have gone but all I can say is forza Roma.

"We will always be high achievers and this was a great season, we could and should have won the league earlier however.

"We didn't give up at Catania we were just tired mentally.

"Complimets to Inter but also to ourselves because we fought until the end and we have showed that we have imporved over the years.

"We deserve more, bigger and better things, but we have to look at next season now and try and go one better.

"We want to beat them in the Coppa Italia and we will show everyone that we are the strongest side in Italy."

- Mexes

mexes did at the very least say compliments to inter but to actually say roma DESERVE the scudetto on the day you lose it is very bitter of them in my eyes, not one person has said "well done inter, you deserve it" from roma, the seasons over grit your teeth don't moan yet again which we've seen everyone do all season, even the juve guys on this forum congratulated inter and said inter deserve it and they must hate inter more than any roma player!

Ummm Yes lets compare the players who actually play the game to Juve forum members....Who the hell wouldnt be bitter with Matrix not being given the red card during the last match day for a obvious last man challenge not to mention uncountable amount of points given to inter due to ref errors.

So i say the players who play the game have a damn right to speak up on a crooked league built on business men who play with their money and jerk the fans around only to squeeze every last penny.

Roma did deserve to win it.They got 82 points without the ref's helping them. They got 82 points while working for every single damn game.Unlike inter who were awarded a penalty here a penalty there...oh oh wait lets give u this goal because u know what we love you even though you just so happened to be offside.

I love how the Inter fans have reverted into their enemies the juventini."OH ITS A CLEAN SCUDETTO YES" *closes eyes and blindly moves forward*.

Nothing has changed.

i actually will compare, these are the guys who made a 'everybody get behind roma' thread and, like yourself, cries foul and conspiracy whenever an inexperienced ref went inters way even though plenty of occasions they also went against inter. If inter paid off refs then inter wouldn't have lost because of errors against juve? or would have got a favour against milan to find an equaliser and then winner to win the scudetto? Inter went from 5 points ahead to 11 all on it's own because of Roma's faults and Inter threw it all away all on it's own because of Inter's faults, referee errors are apart of the game, yes juve paid off refs so everyone is still twitchy when they see an error but to say that because it happened with juve then it must be inter cheating somehow is pathetic, the best team won even cynical inter haters can give congratulations but not Roma.

matarrese spoke sense:
"It's the usual nonsense," Matarrese told Sky Italia. "Referees can make mistakes but cheating is out of the question.
"The club presidents get angry because they discharge themselves of any fault, but there shouldn't be a referee witch-hunt.

Gussoni was swift to deny accusations of any wrongdoing among his referees and has pleaded for irate football fans to give the whistle-blowers time to settle into Serie A.

"Let's leave these lads free to make mistakes as well," he said. "Little by little their weight will increase.

"This season, 20% of the games have been directed by referees only in their second year in Serie A and that has never happened before.

"It's obvious that someone with only 10 games in Serie A under their belt can easily make a mistake or be fooled by a dive.

"A few errors by referees can happen but I don't see why they have to definitely be because of corruption.

"There's no favouritism and let's not put faults down to favouritism because that offends the people who are managing the championship as best they can and without a lot of experience.

although I agree that Inter&refs is an issue better left alone.. too many suspicions. How about that MATERAZZI PENALTY that he missed? How did he get it? Materazzi is a disgrace.
