whatever the team I lead, 3-4-3 diamond is the final choice of mine.

you know, if after years hard work, your team is strong enough, you will find put 4 defender in line up is a absolute waste, at same time, you will complain the goal you make is not enough.

3-4-3 is the best way. You just need 2 great marking and 2 great position man to deal with most defence work. As far as forward line, not forget find a good off ball man.

this is a dream line-up:

----------------------Buffon

------Thuram-------Nesta---------M.Ball

----------------------Gerard

-----------Simon------------------- J.Cole

-----------------------Aimar

--------Jose Mari----Shearer-------Raul

I'll have to try a 3-4-3, see how it fairs in the Premiership.

Firstly, you must find suitable players, Rob.

Chicken and egg situation. I can't get decent players till I'm in a decent position, and I can't get a decent position until i've got decent players :sad

It's certainly a problem.
You must depend on your existing member. I always strengthen attack first, when your team is strong enough to compete the Champion then strengthen defend. Sometimes, a sudden change on Tac. even very effective.

I haven't played it for a while, I'm either on this or my PS2.

I use the old 4-4-2 with pressing marking and the offside trap. if all looks good i move up my left, right mids and one of my center mids up to the attackin mid position. and to finish one of the center defenders moves up to the defencive mid position

If you hav the mid attackin behind the attackers the opposition defence struggle to pick him up and he scores loads of goals.

My fav tactics are 5-3-2 attacking. It normally depends on the team you are and the players you got.

I use 4 basic formations my favourite 4 -5-1 with two attacking midfield players or strikers who can pass playing deep. It usually works but you need very good players.
