Anyone else notice all the -ic last names in the top scorers list?

Everyone cries about ****ty Eastern European players in the league, but I noticed that over the past couple of years, we've had some exceptional players come from Eastern Europe to play in Germany.

Don't know why I made this thread, but I think since we always talk about German players, it might be nice to discuss foreign players who are leaving a positive influence on the league they play in.

Definitely! Those player you mentioned have been great this season. i m a bit nervous when i think about the Croatia - Germany game. Olic and Petric surely are dangerous as hell in front of the goal and are classy player. Same goes for Rakitic and Pantelic. Good thing that they play in the Bundesliga so our (german) player know who they play against in the Euro.

Just because they come from the east doesnt mean they are bad. Hell, Croatia kicked England out!

Yeah I agree Dandy, they have been class this season. I'm VERY suprised how well Olic has improved this season. Petric just scores for fun, what a beast! It's great to see so many shine, maybe we will have 2-4 other new players come out as suprises and shine just like this season! It's only good for the Bundesliga, until another team buys them :P

Lately, BL is good destination for players from Balkany.
Talent of these players was never doubtful.

After, Eduardo's injury, in attack Croatia has to relay on Petric, Olic, Rakitic and maybe Klasnic. So, I am v glad that these players have good influence in BL.

Don't forget the Hungarians Huzsti and Hajnal who kick ass this season.
Also the Slovakians always seem to do well here. (Vittek, Mintal, Sestak).

Babarez and Misimovic are great too.

It's a bit weird that there are not more Poles or Russians.

The French league has a lot of Africans, the La Liga a lot of South Americans and the German league a lot of Eastern Europens.

One of the best to learn the trade in the BL in recent times has to be Berbatov, also Hleb and Rosicky ---- now the world knows all of them as they play in the EPL. Its funny because the average guy didn't know about them until they played in the EPL. Eventually the same will happen for Diego and others.
