Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood has hit out at the lack of atmosphere at The City Ground at the weekend.
The Reds beat Millwall 2-0 to move into third spot in the League One table and Calderwood felt his players deserved better support.
"What I found surprising was the real lack of appetite and apathy of the fans when we didn't score in the first 20 minutes," he told BBC Radio Nottingham.
"It was minimal support to the team and can't happen." Calderwood added: "We're sitting with a promotion run going and they should be urging the team on."

Stop playing defensive boring football then... if Forest came out and attacked from the first minute the fans would be roaring by 20mins in...

True, which we do...but he has to realise that people want to see goals and attacks....once he does and he manages to get the team to do it, we'll be laughing....

Well he has been here long enough to recognise that the atmosphere is never 100%.

it is a mixture of both. how does he expect us to get excited by such a p1ss awful first half and get behind them. i can see that he does wnat fans behind and we were quiet and we are quick to get on players back, but there so little to cheer aboput

the fans are nowhere near as good as we used to be but part of that is because of how we are playing and the other is because they are always kicking people out of standing up and singing

if he gives us something to cheer about then we will. drawing 0-0 at home to milwall and playing **** is hardly going to get fans who have witnessed european cup victories on thier feet is it.. he needs to get a grip, really does.

Personaly i think the atmopshere around the ground is **** more moaners than anything. I Don't like or rate Calderwood 1 bit but we still have to get behind the team we are 3rd with a game in hand not so bad (YET).
No one wants to be here another **** season.

the article was aimed at when we were still drawing 0-0, the fans were on the teams back not behind them. its not about when we were 2-0 up. thats how i read it anyway.

yeah thought you might have, no probs.
the atmosphere is never going to be great whilst we are playing in this league without having big games to look forward to and exciting times ahead of us, plus the big gaps in the staduium dont help.

i think the clubs blames us for not making noise but yet we cant stand up to sing and if we do we get banned which has happened to so many people
so which do you want us to sit down or us to sit

U would expect cc to reciprocate it back to us aswell in getting the players and himself to actually do a better job. After all we turn up every week, pay good hard cash that pay their over inflated wages no matter how good or bad they play. And we have had to put up with some appauling sh1te in the process yet they still get their over inflated wage no matter what the result. We back our players when they deserved to be backed & come every new game we give them all a standing ovation as they run out onto the pitch & their names are called out with team announcements.CC is a cheeky cvnt in what he's saying & when we feel the team deserves to have the fans behind the team we always deliver when they actually give us something to cheer about. If the team decides to play a full 90 mins then i can guarantee him that we will get behind every player wearing a forest shirt. But thats not been the case for the last few seasons has it where we have failed miserably to win promotion back to the championship. The headline should be
Fans hit out at the lack of management skills & players ambitions at The City Ground for last 3 seasons.Fans must be rewarded for their continous backing & patience by finally delivering them what was promised
