Quite simply Liverpool are gonna wipe the floor with the dons!!
They are no match for them, its would be like playing Man Utd (:puke ) against Port Vale!!!
But is it home or away for the dons? If its home then our lot (the true reds) will receive a warm welcome, (not temp wise though :laugh )
It will probably be a boring game to watch, oth teams play a farily defensive game, so I can see a lot of long balls being played, might as well watch the tennis. Having said that, the dons are know to change their style of play, so it could be interesting, will all depend on the line-up and how the first half is played!!

well, the party will be much better than the match then!! :laugh :laugh :D
There should be a good atmosphere, not too much agro, but the level of play, I imagine, will not be all that. Unless Aberdeen are gonna to "borrow" a few players!!

Was looking more for key players, ones to watch, preferred first team and likely selection to be honest!!
Any ideas?

Best person to ask about that would probably be either shed Boy or Celticbhoy. They are still in Scotland, unfortunately I cannot get the games here!! :crying

I don't expect Aberdeen to be quite as bland as Scottied described in his posts in this topic.
With this being their centenary year they will want to do as well as possible, also remember that Aberdeen have won 7 of their last 8 games, drawing the other one. These wins included a 2-1 win over a full strength Southampton side which was a good result. Plus with, i would imagine new faces coming in, they will want to impress manager Steve Paterson who had not been thier manager for that long.
Could'nt tell you about a starting line up really, I would imagine a difference from the way they normally play. There passing amd movement is quite good and player to watch would probably be Paul Sheerin, striker, think he was their top scorer last season and is dangerous on and off the ball.
It's going to be a young team as they were a young team already and had to release some players just recently due to financial problems.
Hope some of that helps.

Don't suppose you'd know anything about their official site would you? I'm crap with search engines, I'd end up on a site about Aberdeen Angus beef or something :banghead

Aberdeen are a young team, they have been playing better towards the end of the the SPL, gathering more points than some of the teams above them after the split. Traditionally Celtic always seem to hump the dons, we beat them 4-0 and 7-0 ( Biggest score in the SPl this season) but only got a draw (1-1) up there in Jan. Their 2-1 defeat at Ibrox (Feb) had them looking like the Aberdeen team of old :USA_Blue's_Smiley as they set about Rangers.
I think (and hope) they will give Liverpool a good game (Mon the Dons), don't know their players that well, but Sheerin, Mackie, Anderson and Deloumeaux all looked handy.
Aberdeen 3 Liverpool 2
Sorry got to take the Scottish team v team outside Scotland
