This game will be decided by who wants to win more, and who has the heart to go all the 90 minutes fighting to prove something, Juventus have a soul thats something Inter fans will not understand. We been waiting for this game for so long than you can imagine, our players said they want the league our board said they want the champions league, but we the fans want nothing but Inter and everybody at the club knows it. This is a crossroad in the life of our new under-construction squad and i see Juventus written all over it, we have everything to prove and every motive to play for, sorry guys but this is gonna be hell for you. Payback time....

its the players out there not the fans and i think the players won't be as hyped up as the fans may be, i disagree about who wants it more i think it'll come down to simply who is the better team and i think even the most biased juve fan would agree inter have the better squad, granted juventus can win this game i really think our quality will prevail though as long as players like ibra and figo perform. i'm slightly hyped up i'd very very very much enjoy to put juve in their place with a comfy win like we did against roma (granted guily's keeping skills made it alot easier) and last season we did against milan twice, lets hope for a cracking game:drinkbeer

Yeah, I doubt Juve will win Serie A this season, but they have a better chance than Milan. Well I think half the teams in Serie A have a better chance than Milan. :laugh I think Inter might win 3-1, but it could go either way to be honest! Man U - Arsenal and Inter - Juve! I will quote this post from another forum, it sums up the value of this game for us Juventini..

If Torino could halt us when they had a serie b team, while we had a top CL team, just by their sheer will, then we can halt Inter now, we are NOT allowed to lose for many SACRED reasons.
The players and the managers do not want to disappoint the fans anymore.

They realized the importance of this match 2 years ago, they have created unpreceded expectations.

If we lose this game we will not only lose any title illusions we may have, but we might risk our CL position as well, this much will greatly affect our mentality and Inters too, certainly for the rest of the season and maybe even more.

There are no excuses, if there is one game we must win at all costs, for the entire year, its this one, its a very hard task but not an impossible one.

Whatever happens we will all be here supporting Juventus in the next day,
but Juvetus has now the chance, to make us walk down the street with a proud smile in our faces again, its time to shown to the world of what we are really made of, world cup champions, conspiracy masterminds, referee mistakes, injuries, suspensions, traitors and born chokers may not and WILL NOT stop us.

If it gets ugly and they get in a similar position, as Empoli's, with Materazzi as a keeper, we ought not to stop, they need to be punished,
i wish for a 3-0 win, though i would be most pleased by a 1-0 win, granted by an undeserved penalty...thats what it will hurt them the most!!

We are the underdogs, but we have to eat them alive, chew their bones and $hit their pieces...

Come sunday night, I really believe we will have crushed you.....badly.

Juve - Inter 1-4 :cool

I really hope the referee doesnt ruin the game but I can see the game being spoiled by a heated game and the tension will be too high for anyone ( bar Rosetti, Paparesta and there was 1 more ref that i like but think of his name) too handle.

Also any news on wether or not tickets will be available only for the season ticket holders? I would have thought that, without doubt, the most fierce game to be played this season the fans wont be allowed in the stadium as there would most probably be hell.

Inter striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has sensationally declared that the two Scudetti that he won with Juventus in 2005 and 2006 were won fair and square on the pitch.

The infamous Calciopoli crisis last summer revoked the two league titles that Juventus had won under Coach Fabio Capello, with the first being declared void and the second being awarded to Ibrahimovic’s current club Inter.

“For the way we played, for what we gave on the field, and for the emotions that we experienced I feel as though I was a champion of Italy with Juventus,” said Ibra.

“On this I have no doubt whatsoever. My old team-mates and I won the two Scudetti on the field fair and square.”

These comments completely contradict Inter President Massimo Moratti, who has long complained that Juventus used underhand methods to win these titles.

On Sunday Ibracadabra will come up against his former team in the Derby d’Italia in Turin. The Swede is regarded as something of a traitor by Bianconeri supporters and he is sure to anger them even more if he were to score at the Stadio Olimpico.

I wanna see this formation:

-------------------Buffon-----------------------
Grygera-----Legro---------Chiellieni------Birindelli
-------------Nocerino----Zanetti----------------
Camoranesi\Brazo----Tiago----------------Nedved
---------------Iaquinta---Trezegol----------------

DP for Iaquinta at the 50th minute, Del Piero coming in fresh for 40 minutes at the end will definitely murder them specially that before that i am sure Iaquinta will have given their defence a run for their money, the guy is very physical and runs all the time and very annoying to keep an eye on.

Our defense is not on par with their offense however with this midfield we can own their asses and take alot of pressure off our back. It's a pretty solid creative yet solid formation. As for Biri i know you guys are like WTF but i think Granpa Biri can stop Granpa Figo like he did before beside if you worry about pace they are both slow as turtles very suitable for each other.

i dont know why u think that inter would give so many problems. from what i see they are slow building up and will give us the chance to defend them better. plus vieira and stankovic is out. that leaves figo (slow), j zanetti, dacourt (DM) and cambiasso (DM) in midfield, i dont see that as much.

Del Piero
Nov 4 2007, 12:27 AM
It's not the junk they have in midfield we are faaaaar better there it's their offense specially Ibra that can cause us problems, thats why we need to put him under siege by crowding the midfield and their defense is good so we can't afford not to be creative. we must have a midfield of 5, and trust me if we do it right they will get the shock of their lives, just wait till they see Zanetti whom in my opinion will be the key of this game.

Buffon was immense, he really did keep Juve in the game.

Horrible foul by Chielleni on Ibra at the end, and Nedveds tackle on Figo wasn't very nice either...

Chiellini was lucky not to be sent off...

Juve dug deep and got the draw, but Inter looked a different class for large periods.

Well quite simply Juve wanted it much more, you could tell from the start middle and end. Not the best game in terms of good football, but it was being played at a good speed.

Juve had the better play but created next to nothing (although Samuel :start was the main reason for this) while we had 2/3 very good chances that were denied by a mix of poor finishing/Buffon and Chiellini (who may well get disqualified for that blatant elbow to Zlatan - shame really as he (chiellini) had an excellent game)

The players were really good in terms of sportsmanship apart for the last 10 minutes with the ibra chiellini hadbags.....Burdisso was ready for a fight right at the end :laugh

Buffon:
Some would say that Buffon is man of the match but i don't think so, those of you who watch Buffon consistently knows that he did not do anything extra ordinary however when the best keeper in the world puts on a good game this is what you will get. 7

Grygera:
He didn't have his best game of the season but he was decent but he was caught too many times going forward and left his man behind. 6

Legrottaglie
As usual perfect game with one mistake that cost us a goal, therefor i will give him a 5. 5

Chiellini
I don't know where to start, he made Zlatan his bitch for the entire 90 minutes, he drove the almighty Zlatan to losing his confidence and his temper, the guy today was a world class center back, if he goes on like this he will become the best. 8

Molinaro
Got owned badly by Figo, not his day and we need start looking for replacements. 5

Nocerino
Unknown soldier however him and Zanetti were fighting hard in that midfield and giving Inter a hard time keeping or passing the ball. 7

Zanetti
Did you see that Inter fans? another player you sold to a rival team becomes and develop to a star, strong, confident, and experienced, he is better than Capello's Emerson. 8

Palladino
The future star, ran his heart out and used his skills, still lacks experience but he gave this game his all. 7.5

Nedved
along with Del Piero they disappointed big time, nothing more to say. 5

Del Piero
game was too physical for him, he should start from the bench, at least in these kind of games where we need power and pace more than anything else. 5

Trezeguet
Hollow man, but we all know it's not his fault, if Trezeguet dosn't get service then he won't do anything, therefor i am not going to rate him for justice sake.

Subs:

Camoranesi:
Welcome back, on his day he is defo up to take any player that plays in his position in the entire world, today was one those days, although he didn't play even a full half but he made an impact and god knows what would have happened if he had played from the start. 8

Iaquinta:
Never stops running never stops fighting the guy is what every football fan would like to have in his team, a real fighter.

He always showed up in big games, can't be bothered digging for you his stats against Milan and Inter but he had plenty in the Champions League as well. Thats just uncalled for because he is everything but a choker, he just had a hattrick last week when he got served well and didn't this game it happen but it does not mean jumping on his back saying he's a choker.

Capello sees strong Juve Monday 5 November, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ex-Juventus boss Fabio Capello believes that the Bianconeri can be a real threat this year, but sees a flawed Roma as Inter’s main rivals.

The Old Lady battled back from a goal down to hold the reigning champions in last night’s Derby d’Italia.

While many have written off the Cadetti champions as Scudetto contenders, Capello believes that they are a force to be reckoned with.

‘Juve will be tough to beat,” he told Rai Radio Anch’io Sport.

“They have a lot of grit and determination and their great desire helped them to get the draw they deserved against Inter.

“The only are where the Bianconeri are lacking is the midfield. Their players aren’t the greatest, but they are so hungry for victory and that counts for a lot.”

Although Capello sees Roma as the main threat to Inter’s supremacy, he can see their weakness.

“Roma and Fiorentina have good players, but they lack something,” he insisted.

“The Giallorossi are Inter’s toughest challengers and they play the best football, but they leak too many goals.”

Can Juve Compete For The Scudetto?

Last night Juventus and Inter played out a fiery 1-1 draw at the Stadio Olimpico. However based on last night’s performance and the season as a whole so far - can the Bianconeri seriously challenge for the Scudetto come May?

zoom - galleria Following their promotion from Serie B, Juventus were tipped by many people to struggle this season. The Calciopoli scandal had badly taken its toll on the club, with no less than five world class players (Fabio Cannavaro, Lilian Thuram, Gianluca Zambrotta, Patrick Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic) leaving the club last summer.

However La Vecchia Signora have performed admirably and currently sit in fourth position, just four points behind Inter after 11 games played. This gap would have been even closer had Juve not been robbed by a scandalous referee during the week nine defeat to Napoli.

Last night Juventus recovered from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw with Inter in a ferocious Derby d’Italia. In the build-up to the game David Trezeguet had said that the match would be a pointer to see just how far the team could go this season.

So what were the conclusions?

Well if the Italian Championship was based on grit, determination and heart – then Juventus would be the winners hands down.

The Bianconeri have a fighting spirit imprinted in their DNA – they just never know when they are beaten. Trailing last night to Julio Cruz’s goal, Juve held on when Inter threatened to score a second, and were rewarded as Mauro Camoranesi equalised with just 12 minutes remaining.

This season Ranieri’s men have won crucial points with numerous late goals. Against Cagliari in week two, the team had been playing against 12 men for the whole game but managed to find the mental strength to grab a 90th minute winner through Giorgio Chiellini.

In week four Vincenzo Iaquinta rescued a point against Roma with an 87th minute header, while in the Turin derby a week later David Trezeguet scored with the last kick of the game to earn a 1-0 victory over Torino.

On the technical side of things, Juventus are perhaps a little short, and this will probably count against them come the end of the season. Despite dominating possession for long spells of the game yesterday, they struggled to create many clear-cut openings.

The Bianconeri are probably lacking a playmaker in midfield, someone who can open up an opposition defence with a through-pass. They are also short of genuine match-winners in their team – players who can win a game by themselves with a piece of individual brilliance.

Inter have the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Luis Figo, Milan have Andrea Pirlo, Kaka and Clarence Seedorf, while Roma have Francesco Totti and Amantino Mancini.

Juventus could claim to possess Alessandro Del Piero and Pavel Nedved, but due to their advancing years, their moments of brilliance are decreasing game by game.

Juventus, along with Fiorentina, undoubtedly have the best crop of young players coming through in Italy. The likes of Raffaele Palladino, Antonio Nocerino, Claudio Marchisio and in particular Sebastian Giovinco are all stars of the future.

Giorgio Chiellini also showed last night that he is fast becoming the symbol of this Juventus side. The 23-year-old was a colossus and marked Ibrahimovic out of the game with a robust display.

His taunting and mocking of the Swedish star may have gone slightly over the top, however it is sure to have delighted any hardcore Bianconeri fan who feels betrayed by Ibra following Calciopoli.

The future is certainly bright for Juve - however this year may just be a season too early for them.

Great game, not so much for the quality of play, but for the atmosphere and the spirit shown by the players.

Juve weren’t so good to be honest. They lacked the cutting edge once they reached inter's box. Del piero and trezeguet were really non existent today and nedved did get involved in play , but always made the wrong choices by trying to take a long range shot in goal when he could easily play palladino in.

When inter went ahead they looked very comfortable. They weren’t worried about juve keeping possession of the ball and they themselves looked danger on the counter attack.

Then when figo got injured after a rash challenge by nedved the game changed. Mancini made the wrong change by putting on burdisso for figo which put them right on the edge of their box with only ibra/suazo being the danger going forward. Cesar was weak for inter and why the hell do they refuse to use solari a lot more ?

Camo was great when he came on, adding the creative spark in the middle and dribbling at players.

The goal was lucky, since I believe that cesar would’ve saved it if it didn’t get that deflection from Samuel. But still good play by iaquinta/camo/palladino.

Also chielleni was great today. To think that at his time at fiorentina he was seen as weak defensively and good going forward :ninja. He put in many last ditch tackles, nipping the ball away from zlatan when he was about to shoot and then coming across to block maicon’s dangerous cross.

Though the confrontation between him and ibra was funny. Though it all started with zlatan stepping on his chest :o He is a beast though, got right back up:clap

Great determination show by juve today. Nocerino running around non stop, nedved working his socks off(but too old now so had no real affect), chiellini, zanetti showing a bit of his old self and buffon screaming his head off.

Only downside was palladino and del piero were really ineffective. Palladino at least tried, but del piero really has no more pace, he has the class seen with the way he outwitted cambiasso with his dribble earlier in the game, but he can’t cause the defence a lot of trouble.

Oh yeah got to say the linesmen were great. All decisions were correct except for one, but forgot who it was against.

one thing we can all agree is that we need a player like VdV or Diego :) hell, maybe ronaldinho lol. can't imagine how he looks like wearing a biaconeri shirt...I don't mind Ballack coming though.

agreed .plus we need a CM that can defend and also attack. i dont know if tiago would fit the bill because ranieri doesn't let him play. right now nocerino is doing that. he isnt amazing going forward but hardworking. he is more defensive that attacking. more like an essien.
we need a CF also.

No offense mate but he was Man of the match so to say that shows that you didn't watch him closely.

Maybe I’m being too critical. He is still young and did relatively well against a big side like inter. He did work his socks off and tried to create chances for the side, but was mainly ineffective(probably due to his lack of options). Though when iaquinta/camo came on he did look a lot better, doing great for the lead up to the goal.

Just that i thought yesterday he was meant to be your most creative player with the lineup ranieri put up.

Problem may be that i associate class/finished article with juve and that probably gets in the way of me judging players based on the current sides quality.

good result for inter but not for Juve. They are still 4 points behind.

but based on the current formation in both clubs it is a good result for juve
