According to reports in Spain Marcello Lippi is candidate for the Real Madrid Job. Complete article:
Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’ claims that the Italian has been shortlisted, along with Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger, if Vicente Del Bosque leaves this summer.
The latter has yet to agree terms for a new deal in the capital and Real are already making plans should he quit the club.
It is believed that Real want to keep Del Bosque but tension between the Coach and President Florentino Perez has arisen in the last month.
Del Bosque was set to put pen to paper on a new contract prior to their Champions’ League clash against Juventus.
But that semi-final defeat has seen talks delayed until the end of the season. A decision which is said to have angered the Spaniard.
However, the chances of landing Lippi look remote at the moment after the Italian recently agreed to stay at the Stadio Delle Alpi for the next two years.
Although Lippi has admitted that he would like to Coach abroad, he also insisted that he would never leave Juventus unless he was sacked.

That last line is not exact. Lippi said he would leave Juve one day, but when he does so, it won't be for another Serie A team, but either for the national team, for a Serie B team or for a forein team. So one day I think he will go to Real.

Lippi: Real Are Looking For Me? Pure Fantasy
Juventus coach Marcello Lippi has rejected rumours arriving from Spain that indicate him as the main candidate for Real Madrid's bench.
"Real Madrid are looking for me? That's pure fantasy" he said today. As for yesterday's first leg of the Coppa Italia final between Roma and Milan, Lippi is not scared by the impressive performance of the Rossoneri, who will face Juve in the upcoming Champions League final. "I'm not surprised, however it was an unpredicable match. In view of the final, my only concern is to recover all of my injured players".

Didn't he say the same thing about his 'new' club Inter some years ago? Where just rumours they said and meanwhile he already had an agreement with Moratti

No back then we already knew from the start of the season that he was heading there. That caused alot of tension and problems in the dressing room (mostly with Conte) and resulted in Juve's worst season of the past 15 years.

You have to agree Zizou, Berlusconi is a little malicious with all his court trials

Well whenever Milan cheated, they were caught (check the 80s when they were thrown to Serie B) so if there are any wrong doings, he would be caught. Anyway nowadays it`s Galliani who's in charge of Milan so attack Uncle Fester instead ;)

del bosque was only meant to be a caretaker manager
he used to manage the reserves/youth teams
del bosque has stated he wants to step down as manager
so real will be looking for a boss of exceedingly high calibre,so looks like Cuper wont be at real next season then :laugh
