For those of you who haven't heard of it, its basically a stock exchange game where you buy celebs and their value goes up based on press coverage.

Yeah, the whole site is slow as hell today. Stick it on Pro tarder (button at bottom of portfolio) you can trade from your portfolio page, saves time and effort, plus you get more info on people before you invest!!

it'll vary on who you buy as to how many you should get, for example, I have 1500 in some people and 20 in others. Its totally your choice.

John Leslie, about 100-150 shares, he has rised 6.05% since yesterday and is looking strong to keep rising into tomorrow, so should be a good buy. I've bought him and already made £50 off his ass!!

Check the market values for your best buys.

Does anyone know which media we are talking about? Is it on the net? tabloids? trashy Mags??

Does the price go up based on this to a degree and then once its had an initial increase then ppl buy it then it goes up more. Is it more weighted on who is buying the shares or how much coverage they have???

I'm sure it based purely on media coverage, via any medium, for square cm, or minutes if on TV. its doesn't matter on sales of shares, but if someone you have starts going down slowly, sell some, not all, thats my tip today, and John Leslie (esterdays tip) has gone up another 3% from yesterday, taking it to a 8.04% rise over the last 24 hours (he was at 5% around 5 yesterday)

there doesn't seem to be an average price, they all start at 1.00 and most seem to end up around 2. something, oter getting higher (Becks 23.07 Daniella westbrook 30.30) and various ones in between, I tend to buy at around 2-3 and sell if they go above 5, but hold onto some of them.

Now that I have doubled my 3.5k investment on one person I shall reveal who it is!!


KEANU REEVES, this man is sky rocketing!! He's at 4.49 ATM but we at 1.8 when I bought 1500 shares, Matrix came out 2 days later, boom, I'm loaded!!!

another one that is looking like that is Davina McCall, but she won't last as long I don't think.

because that 0.12 is 5% of the price the day before, so if, for example, you have someone who costs you 1.00 today and they rise 7% overnight then their price tomorrow will be 1.07 and the change in brackets will be (+0.07) as they have gone up by 7p, understand? its basically the same as a normal stock market, only much simpler!!

I have just been reading the about the game section and a few things are still unclear.

It says that the price of shares is based on supply and demand and not anything therefore to do with press coverage.

Dividends are paid based on press coverage on a weekly basis. Is this a cash lump sum that goes into your account?

So basically u want to buy shares that will go up so you can get a better dividend and this is based on press coverage........this is confusing!

I have low holdings over more people, with VERY high holdings in some, e.g I bought 1500 of Keanu Reeves on Monday, each for about 2.09, now they are just above 4.5 each, thats how you do it, get someone you think is going ot be in the media a lot, buy, then when they go through the roof, sell allm and make a nice little profit, I've made nearly 4k on Keanu now!!!

These are some things i have learnt in the last week from doing Celebdaq.

The most important thing is Dividends. These are based on press coverage during the week and are paid on friday morning - or late thursday night. Dividends will give you much larger payments than your share increases - unless one skyrockets. Eg i had about £12-13k of shares last friday and got paid a £6k dividend. So thats 2-3 times the increase in share value.

Share prices go up depending on who people think will be in the news this week. However if there is someone who u think will be in the press a lot in the coming week and yet their price is low or decreasing still buy them, even if you make a loss of a few hundred in a week and they are in the press a lot you will make tonnes more than you lose. This week i expect Henman and V Williams - S Williams is climbing - to be in the press a lot but they are either falling or very low so are a cheap way to make a lot of money. Dividends are paid per share, so the more shares the better.

Share prices climb as people think they will bein the press a lot - and so pay a a good dividend - so ppl buy them and the price rises, this does not mean they WILL be in the press a lot just that ppl think they will, and then teh shares go up and everyone else thinks they will so buy etc etc, even though they may not be in the press and you get a low dividend and would have been better off spending elsewhere.

Thats all i can think of right now, all questions and comments are welcome :)

A good tip for this week is Bob Geldof, due to his meeting with Blair and the fundraising for Africa stuff - Bono is also rising but is at a higher value and Geldof will get at least as much coverage prob more. I bought 1200 shares at about £1.08, he is climbing steadily

Share price is kind of meaningless, its just based on who everyone else thinks is going to pay a good dividend - if they understand how it works!

Scrap my tips for tennis players. Found out that sports coverage does not count at all!! Why do they not tell u this stuff!

Also dividends are only paid on shares u own at the time the dividend is paid. So you can own shares for 6 days then sell before friday and you will get nothing at all for them. So dont sell anyone who has been in the press in the last week today. Best to do most of the trading on fridays or the weekend at the latest unless soomething big happens

The shares go up based on demand for them. Dividends are paid per share once a week on friday. Read what i said above about them, explains it all.

I bought 1000+ of Mccartney last night after the announcement Heather was preggers. Share price was going down anyway and took awhile to react to the news. But i figure the press coverage today will give a decent dividend but ill sell him tomorrow. Share prices dont matter!!!

Seem to be slowly slipping back, how are u supposed to maintain a decent %, i think last week as keanu was going up so fast the shares rose faster - if you had a large amount of Keanu - this week noone is going up that fast and so the % weekly gain goes down. Plus a lot of my shares are not climbing as i bought them for a dividend and not the share price :D

I find that new tv shows - and films to a cetain extent - etc do not get that much coverage, maybe for one day but not constant over the week. The fact i had 1000 Keanu shares and yet got less for him than for Bob was a surprise. I think with tv and films the articles are rarely about one person and are about the show/film and so it looks like its getting a lot of coverage but the dividend will be low.

My best buy was Chris Martin - Coldplay, i saw a report and so bought only 624 shares which made me almost £3000, wish i had bought more!

BB is the only tip of the week, despite a few of the guys shares no longer climbing they are all pretty much all over the press everyday, and should give a very healthy dividend.

Scandals are what we want!! lol

Vicky Beckham looks a great buy, quite pricey but she will get prob the same coverage as Becks while they are in the USA, and he paid out £10 a share last week.

I sold him last friday, did u see his dividend last week, was crap, only thing good about him was share price, but that wasnt rising that much anyway. U have just wasted £10000 of shares Scottie cos dividend will be even less this week, plus u will only get half cos u just sold then and then bought them again :D
