September 9th in Mexico City, at least according to the Mexican federation.

Looking forward to it. The Mexican team might have players from our under 20 team by then.

Yep, I heard this was scheduled before glad to see its now confirmed.

Its part A of "Let's try to win our fans back because Gooflati is an *******" plan of the harder fall away friendlies.

Unfortunately, it'll most likely make our losing streak continue. WooHoo!

What the hell are both federations thinking? Does Mexico need to lose to the US again and again? There's no point in being obsessed with beating you. Both of us are guaranteed a spot at the world cup. And what's the point with the US being specialized on beating Mexico if they eventually have to go out and face others in competitive tournaments?

We've won so much recently, they need to finally play one at the Azteca so you can beat us and your fans can talk **** again. :D

But yeah, its the biggest rivalry in our region, and the games (at least to me) are always really good, high tension and fun to watch....oh, and they bring big time dollars in.

ESPN better pick this up or I will be pissed. **** FSC coverage. :nono

Still, this is a test for the US team, but I figure with the way Mexico is playing now...we have a 25% chance of getting a draw at the Azteca. It's like the best home field advantage in all of sports.

I know they specifically founded Mexico City there just so they could beat everyone at home internationals. :laugh

While both teams are obviously very familiar with one another by this point...playing you guys at the Azteca is a needed test for our team, which at this point, has yet to really face a strong test. Playing Mexico at home is a difficult game-but we've already proven we can beat you at home, so it isn't as big a test as it would seem. We have not been able to beat you at the Azteca and its a much, much more difficult test. I'll be looking forward to the game, its always a good one.

sorry...I reread that just now and it makes no sense whatsoever...

I meant, beating Mexico in the US: for sure, we haven't proven we can beat them in Mexico just yet
