Inter Milan turn to Porto's Gonzalez

After being beaten by Manchester United for Portugal-based stars Anderson and Nani, Inter Milan are hoping it will be third time lucky in the form of Porto midfielder Lucho Gonzalez. Villarreal have tabled a £7 million bid for the Argentina international, but Porto are insisting on £15 million and Inter coach Roberto Mancini is discussing the asking price with president Massimo Moratti.
Inter are moving for Gonzalez over concerns that Luis Figo, after rejecting a move to Saudi Arabia, will announce his retirement rather than seek to play on next season at the San Siro.

Yes it's tribalfootball, but I have been hearing more and more about it.

Meh, we only paid about $6 million I think for Lucho I believe...so once again we know how to make transfers.

I prefer Quaresma

I prefer Quaresma

I'm sure every other team in the world feels that way.

Lucho is still a huge part of our team, I don't want to lose him but if we give Lucho to Inter maybe that means Quaresma is going to stay, that'll be 2 big players leaving, and still Pepe being undecided.

Not really, that money is mostly being used to pay debts. We'd be ruined if we didn't get it.

We had, it just took one year for us to build another quality squad. We just won our second consecutive league title and I'm convinced we would've done another great CL run hadn't we faced Chelsea in the last 16.

The problem is that we'll probably have to go through that process again.

We lost Anderson, okay he didn't play a full season but he is a quality player and next year would have definitely would of been one of our go to guys.

Maybe now we lose Lucho, Pepe, and Quaresma. Pretty much my top 3 for importance of players. I would through Helton in there aswell, but the end of the season for him wasn't that great and there is no threat of him leaving.

So we lose Lucho, Pepe, Quaresma and Anderson, its a huge blow to our team, we can't really rely on youth to much you need some expierence for CL especially.

And I really hope we don't lose Assuncao and Lisandro. Our two work horse guys, sometimes get credit but not as much as they deserve.

We won't see a mass exodus this season, I am convinced most of these rumours are BS.

18m for M.Gonzalez?

Give me a break, we would never ever consider bidding anywhere near that for a player.

The rumours are saying:

Assuncao is leaving-fine he can go.
Lucho is leaving-he is 26/7, if we are to make any money out of him, it will be this season
Quaresma-Our most important player, I hope we can somehow keep him, but expect a 25m euro offer to come through from Inter.
Pepe-Has already been hinting he wants to go, if we get the right offer he will be out.

Inter are offering 18 million for Lucho Gonzalez, not Mariano Gonzalez (sp).

If Lucho leaves, then Ibson stays IMO

Hes having problems, I expect Ibson, B.Moraes to leave.

With Lucho and Assuncao leaving for good prices.

Quaresma/Pepe will stay.

Assuncao won't leave for anything more than 5m IMO.

Why would Porto sell a key player for less than 5 million.

Assuncao was great in CL, I expect more than 5 million for him.

The only thing is his age, but DM's are always great no matter their age.

Porto constantly sell players for less than 5m.

Only recently have we sold some players for quite high prices.

Assuncao isn't well known, he is uncapped, he wasn't a 100% starter last season and he has said to JF "You can never count on me again".

5m sounds realistic

With all the players leaving, who the hell is going to play for us, I'm so tired of not building a team for the future, our future only last one season and the we sell....

Not if they blow 18 on Lucho...

I never read anything about Inter's desire for Nani or Anderson, so based on that, I'll hope we arent interested in Lucho either, at least not if we're going to spend so much, especially when there were rumours with Deco for 8.
