you can usually tell in the first few minutes how good a player is in terms of technique, skill, vision, touch etc.

Great 1st half display, professional 2nd half.

Ratings:

Helton-3/3.5 Looked shaky once or twice, but some fine saves
Bosingwa-3 Great as rb, looked lost as DMC in 2nd half
Pepe-4 The injury is a huge blow to us
B.Alves-3 Nothing majorly bad with his performance, but shaky at times
Fucile-3 One or two errors, but solid. Not his best performance all in all
Cech-3.5 Looks much better at cm than left back right now
Lucho-3 Solid
Jorginho-3.5/4 Good performance, loses the ball in key areas at times, but can't really fault his display today
Quaresma-4 Superb first half, set up 2 goals, quiet second half, but his first half performance makes him deserve a 4.
Postiga-3.5 Looked decent, if only he had come on instead of Renteria on sunday...
Adriano-3.5/4 Awful control of the ball at times, but a great finisher. His 2nd goal was a superb header.

Subs:

Anderson-3.5 Nowhere near his best, but some moments of magic and a goal. Good performance
Lucas Marek-2 At fault for the goal, and very shaky.
Vieirinha-2/2.5 Did nothing really, but wasn't horrible
