View Full Version : Week 29 Round Up

- Juve step closer to their 27th League title thanks to a hard fought 2-1 win over Roma with Del Piero scoring a brace
- Inter keep in touch thanks to a 93rd minute winner from Crespo which ends Brescia's 16 unbeaten run (Ironically their last league defeat was against Inter 4-0)
- Milan lose all their chances of winning the title with a 1-0 home defeat to lowly Empoli and thus prove once again that they are not focused enough to play against low level teams
- Lazio hold 4th place with a 2-1 win against Piacenza, who are now with more than 1 foot in Serie B
- Along with Piacenza, Como and Torino seem doomed for Serie B; however the 4th relegation place seem that it is going to be fought between Reggina and Atalanta

Zizou, did you see Del Piero's goal (not the penalty, of course :D)???
Now THAT was great goal!!! :clap :clap :clap
So happy Juve won! Playing Roma is always hard. :king
At least they won... I was very depressed since Bologna lost the match against Modena :crying
You know, it's kinda like Milan-Inter or Juve-Torino... A very important match for me! We lost... And I was there, in Modena... :banghead :censored

Del Piero's goal was one that he usually misses when he`s out of form, but since he scored it, it might mean he's back to his good old self.

So your second team is Bologna? Well I can't really say I`m sorry because Modena winning made me win money :D

Yeah. He's still far from being at his best, and in fact, apart form that goal, he didn't play an excellent match yesterday... But I'm pretty sure he's recovering. Let's hope so! :clap

Yeah, my second team is Bologna! Actually, I live in the Modena province, but my town is right between Modena and Bologna. So here most of the people cheer for Bologna! Bologna-Modena is a very important match for us!
So now it's 1-1, cause we won the other match... But it feels so bad anyway :nono :crying

Bologna had started very well, and were fighting for a CL spot. Now they're stuck with Brescia in the middle part of the table; doesn't look too good for them.

Title race is finished I reckon. Can't see Juve blowing a 6 point lead - be interesting for second though :devil

Rumour is that if Inter win zilch (again) Vieri will go to Juve and Adriano will take his place. I hope this remains just a rumour; actually I hope we get Adriano :D

Well, I don't see Juve giving away 6 points, so they'll be the champions I guess... f***** Inter was lucky with that late goal and with the ref...:(

In my opinion Vieri is the best striker in the world currently, however why should Juve invest on a 30 year old? At most he would give us 1 or 2 good seasons but that's all. In fact I think he would end up like Batistuta when he moved to Roma (excellent first season, but then s*** for the following 2 seasons).

So I don't want Vieri back with us cos he's getting on with his age, injury prone, he left Juve already once and 2 years ago, when Juve and Inter were dealing for Vieri, but the deal collapsed, Vieri was shown chanting songs against Juve. I'll never forgive him for that ;) Ungrateful c*** :nono

Yeah mate, he's amazing. So much power in that shot, it's unbelievable at such age. He will become better than Ronaldo and his goals prove it. 15 league goals from around 25 games (not sure how many but he missed some games due to injury) + he did not score any penalty.

The player of the future.

Too bad you weren't on Milan :salute

About Adriano, not too many people know about him here, which is a pity. The only flaw I see in him, is that he never passes the ball, but he's still 19/20 years old so he can improve in that aspect. I just hope Inter don't take him back :D Barcelona were very stupid to let him go. :o

I saw him live when Modena played Parma and I was like :o He's bloody good! He's a big guy but still he's quick in his moves, he runs fast, has great shots and a lot of power. I agree his problem is he never passes the ball, but I also agree with Zizou: he'll improve with experience. Now, if he doesn't lose his mind (like Cassano :puke ), he can seriously become the best striker in the world. I wish we had him at Juve

Yeah but if he was s***e at Barca then they were right to let him go. Sometimes players need a move to blossom.

Other strikers don't pass when they`re on goal. Adriano does not pass even when he's in the middle of the gund...he is that egoist ;)

Paisley - You saw him when he was with Barca? Cos I never did so I can't really judge hius performances there, but I`m sure people could have seen his potential and letting him go for such a small fee was like stealing candy from a kid :laugh
