The agent of Real Sociedad hotshot Darko Kovacevic says Roma and Barcelona are interested in his client.

The Yugoslav, part owned by Lazio, has been in magnificent form this season as Sociedad have taken La Liga by storm.

"Darko is having a wonderful time with Sociedad but he has been receiving offers from important clubs such as Roma and Barcelona," said Kodro Menaf.

Neither Sociedad or Lazio are thought to have the finances to keep him.

I thought Kovacevic was owned by Juventus...

For Roma he would be good, Barca doesn't need him as long as they have Kluivert and Saviola..

how old is he? and how much are real sociedad (or lazio) asking for? zizou, whatcha think about juve letting him go so soon?

VdV - No cos last season Juve and Lazio swapped Salas and Kovacevic, and then Lazio loaned him out to Real Sociedad.

SC - I think he's around 28-29, not sure though. I rather have had Kovacevic instead of Zalayeta, but Kovacevic did not want to be just a reserve, so it was the natural thing to sell him. I only remember one real good game (I think in UEFA when he scored 4 or 5 goals in the same match). Otherwise, he was too slow for Italian football and did not leave a big impact.

:o :o  i didn't realise he was that old
i reckon we could do better than kovacevic. maybe we should have a look at nihat, he's younger than kovacevic. and something tells me if we get kovacevic it wouldn't be very wise....

But Kovacevic already proved himself in the spanish league and your team does require a strong centre forward.

Kluivert is more like a skilful player rather than a strong player (eg. Ibrahimovic, Vieri, Kovacevic, etc...)

I think he quit 2 or 3 years ago. Some time ago he was analizing football matches on dutch tv, but lately I haven't seen him on tv, so I don't know what he doing atm...

bet he wouldn't be the same with a bigger side, just like Lopez/Mendieta ruined his career moving from Valencia after their one good season and then was utter s***e after that

Actually Lopez has been class this season. He had been very unconsistent in previous seasons, but this year he's been excellent.

SC- I think he was with Ajax, as Inter bought him along with Bergkamp.

I was gonna remark on Kovacevic at Wednesday, along with fellow Yugoslav Dejan Stefanovic. Kovacevic played about 20 games I think and was sold on - unbelievable considering the waves he is making now... and the sad state Sheffield Wednesday currently lie in, both off and on the pitch.

Yeah I remember Kovacevic playing for Sheffield Wednesday - utter s***e he was! Doing well at Sociedad but I don't think a move back to italy or one to Barca would be a good move. Should stay at Sociedad and continue to bang them in with Nihat :clap
