O Conselho de Disciplina (CD) da Liga reunido hoje decidiu manter o castigo a Ricardo Quaresma (foi suspenso dois jogos por agressão a Tixier da U. Leiria) apesar da reclamação apresentada pelo FC Porto.

"É indeferida, por improcedente, a reclamação apresentada pelo atleta Ricardo Quaresma, relativamente à sanção de dois jogos e multa de 1.000 euros", pode ler-se no comunicado.

Na fundamentação da decisão, o Conselho de disciplina revela que Nuno Gomes (expulso na vitória do Benfica sobre o Sporting) apenas foi sancionado por um jogo porque se tratava de uma acção violenta e não de uma agressão.

"O atleta Nuno Gomes não foi punido por agressão. A equipa de arbitragem escreveu no relatório que o avançado fez um tackle por trás, que pôs em causa a integridade física do adversário" pode ler-se no documento.

Os portistas podem agora recorrer ao Conselho de Justiça da FPF.

Jorginho and Alan aren't world beaters, but will get the job done IMO, and we have a lack of other alternatives.

Ibson isn't the right player to play AMC IMO.

Renteria can get a run out later in the game. And I'd have Adriano on the bench, he's not awesome, but scores.

Renteria did some nice touches, but it was his debut where he came on in a match that was dead. I won't judge him from todays performance.

With Cech and Lucho in central roles, but pushing onto their respective wings when needed, and Bruno Moraes in an AMC role, but also pushing onto the wing when needed.

Helton-3.5 Some good stops in the first half, quiet game in the 2nd half
Bosingwa-3/3.5 Decent enough, but not his best display
Pepe-4 His usual self
B.Alves-3.5 Cleared his lines well.
Fucile-3 Invisible in the first half, much better 2nd half, when Cech occupied the left less
Assuncao-3.5 Very solid, captained the team after lucho was subbed
Lucho-3.5/4 El Comandante drove the team forward and scored
Cech-3.5/4 Excellent game, good set pieces, nice crosses, his passing sometimes let him down though. A large influence on the win.
Lisandro-4.5 MOM Faultless. I have always rated him as Portos best forward since he has arrived, and he is showing his worth once again.
B.Moraes-3 Beautiful through ball for the 1st goal, played well enough, but lost the ball on a few occasions. Solid performance though.
Postiga-2.5/3 Played better than of late, but still something lacking. A 2.5 is too harsh, and 3 too good. Beautiful throughball for lichas 2nd goal though, maybe he deserves a 3.

Subs:

Adriano-2.5/3 Horrible performance, but scored. And we need players who can finish, and adriano can. He got one chance and took it. But his movement in other counterattacking moves was weak. He likes to have balls crossed in, and there were few today.
Ibson-2.5 Lost the ball on too many occasions, another weak performance. I still don't think he will be good enough to replace Lucho if he leaves.
Renteria-2 Came on when the game was dead, showed some glimpses of promise, particularly when he flicked the ball cutely to bosingwa and started a dangerous counter attack. He was nervous otherwise. No worries.
