Hamburg losing 2-0 at half time. What an awful season for Hamburg so far --- also in the relegation zone in the BL. Thomas Doll may be in trouble.

sh!t happens. It's not Hamburg's season. Hope they don't sack Doll now. Would be a big mistake imo.

Hamburg are a shambles of a team, they're out now. I don't think they should sack Doll but surely somebody is responsible for the players they have bought and sold and the shire lack of motivation and passion they have displayed all season. Ljuboja and Sanogo has to be the worst strike force in the CL, shouldn’t have got rid of Barbarez. It was just so clear this team couldn’t cut it and they have gone and proven that to everybody.

yes Al, it is so obvious the bad transfer politics....
It started with De Jong and Ailton... I thought during that time that AIlton would be the bad one, but it turned out that De Jong is a selfish *****.

add Ljuboja, that money addicted bastard!
I feel a bit sorry for Trochowski, they always sent him to give interviews and he has to explain this mysery.

Usually when teams qualify for the CL-they say "oh great we will have CL $$$$$$$$$$$ coming in'' so we can buy good players-make the team stronger-with the added incentive for a new player playing in the CL.
HSV do the opposite!
They could have bought players from the other 14 German teams or even from the italian clubs in the match fixing scandal.
Every year we have one team in the CL who are embarassing.

Whether you believe it or not, like it or not, there is only one player in Hamburg's squad,TROCHOWSKI.Others can not even be regarded as players leave alone good players.De Jong,Wicky, Ljuboja and Benjamin are the worst players I have ever seen anywhere in Europe except in ETHIOPIA, where I am living .I have never played football but started following and watching German football after holding my BA .I know German football at all levels from youth level through the main team and even follow the Frauen-Bundesliga and I enjoy watching the BUNDESLIGA through Dubai sports channal.I have never seen and heard such worst crisis in GERMAN football because of the most disgraced Hamburg side, despite having one of the most splendid stadia in the world with 57,000 capacity crowd.
Hamburg not only shattered their faithful fans' hope and spirit but also spoiled
the image of German football amid the national team's excellent display of late.I don't think that Hamburg will stay up in Die Bundesliga at this status quo unless team formation starts anew by getting rid of dispensable players including the unfortunate and most confused coach,Thomas DOLL.

I think Gerry hit the magic word; chemistry. You watch Hamburg and it's just a bunch of mostly average, individual players who are just not on the same wavelength. They have no leaders who stick their heads up above the dross.
It's a difficult situation for Hamburg now. Their entire season is at a turning point and their momentum is at rock bottom along with their confidence. Sticking with Doll may seem like the right thing because he got them into the CL but does he have the skills to take them out of the shi*t? Reminds me of Brehme and Kaiserslautern a few years back, he could do no wrong at first but struggled when the going got tough.
How many times have we seen new managers come in and turn the whole ship round in a matter of weeks? New ideas, new players, new momentum can work wonders for a club stuck in a rut and besides those lazy players will know if the second manager fails the fans will rightly turn on them. I think they need about 2000 volts up their ass to get them out of this, I'd give Doll a month and if no wins they should sack him. They may ultimately need a Rehhagel to come in and put some backbone into them

Can all the posters who called for Doll to coach the national team please stand up and take a bow!:nono
Not often you see a team do so good one year, and then tank it the next!
What's the deal with their hot shot Dutchmen? When he isn't backpassing into his own net he's usually pretty good!

Fukk Ballack and Chelski, Bremen is where it's at, I'll be sticking with them tonight, it's a must win, what are your bets 6,7 or 8-0 to Bremen?

er is it a home game or an away game?! I just hope for a win, and i won't underestimate Levski, Bremen can be really fickle sometimes, tho looking at Bremens player, i don't think we have to worry. :drinkbeer

congratulations to both teams Bayern and Bremen! :D It feels good to see our teams winning in the CL! :ninja Schweinis goal was fvckingfantastic! 100kmh fast from over 35m! :o sadly he got a yellow-red card which could have been prevented. Specially the first yellow card.
Bayern are the only german team who started with 3 wins in the CL! 30min with only 10 men tonight, that was good team effort.

I saw Schweini's goal on ESPN sportscenter last night. Very nice, with some swerve too. Poor Ricardo probably gets nightmares of the Pig --- he has been the victim for the third time.
Scweini's game is improving --- he is scoring regularly and its always a bonus when a midfielder scores often. Bayern and german NT will benefit:drinkbeer

Wow. To take the shot form so far out just shows you the amount of confidence that he has. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I think Beckinbour sad that Schweni plays with more confidence and take riskier shots for the NT and were wondering why he does not do that at Bayern. You get the sense that someone at Bayern gave him the green light to do whatever he wants to do and it is working. Great for Bayern and the NT.
Also, very disapointed wth Hamburg but Piotr's goal was class. I like how he created his own shot and scored. Looks like he has picked it up after he was called into the NT. I see Piotr playing an active role in EC08 and a major part n WC2010 barring any injures. I have not seen him play often but every time I do see him play, I am impressed.

Thought Bayern played well-some nice movement. They seem to be improving all the time.
Pizarro was about to score early on and had his kit pulled-the most obvious penalty ever but the referee said no ??
