Still proud to be a Leeds fan

I have just got back from Elland Road after a heartbreaking last minute loss to PSV, our season goes from bad to worse.

But let's be optomistic, we have eleven games left in the premiership, six at home, five away, mostly against teams at the bottom end of the table. If we can start a run of good results we can still qualify for Europe. If Arsenal, Newcastle or Chelsea win the FA Cup the top six in the league will qualify for Europe, if not top five.

But whatever happens, I will still be Leeds and proud and will still have a season ticket next year.

but seriously, at least you were there. i was in a pub where there were 3 leeds "fans" i say that becuase they were defintely "nouveau" football fans, the ones who only like it cos its trendy and support a big club. well they were pissing me off.

PS. I wasn´t laughing when I saw the goal. I just felt sorry for them. :cry

leeds spend x amount of money, and fail in UEFA cup too. i think o'leary should be questioned to a certain degree. if they dont get europe they will have to sell because top stars will want to leave

its shows that leeds cant cope it in the top level.
i cant understand his decsion to not to play batty in centre midfield. they also have some average players eg kelly, harte(cant defend). i think o@leary is going to have to produce something special next season and quick, or bye bye to him

I certainly do understand, why they did not play Batty :) :)

Batty is awful. I´d rather have McAllister or crippled Redknapp.

O´Leary has to take the heat. He build this team. He had all the
money in the world (money Gregory didn´t have) to make this
team a winner. He didn´t.

the thing with batty though is that is is good at breaking up attacks as hamman does at liverpool and allows others to play. last night they had bakke and bowyer who both like to attack. bascially leeds are crap, and there season is shocking.

Well once again the scousers impart their in depth knowledge on us. Fans of Bury and Portsmouth wouldn't mind having Leeds' "problems". Although Leeds have crashed out of Europe (and deservedly so) we still have the attacking flair of Liverpool to look forward to as they sit proudly at the top of their group? Why doesn't Jimlad focus on his own teams shortcomings instead of telling evey other team how to be so good?

I'll tell you what d**k head, lets just have a look at your recent goalscoring record. How many games is it now since you scored? Don't start slagging Liverpool off (everybody seems to be jumping on that band wagon). Leeds and Arsenal have looked at Liverpool and suddenly realised that to do anything you've got to have a tight defence. Leeds only have Ferdinand who is an excellent player and may just squeeze into a Liverpool side. Hart, Matteo (thanks for buying him) and Mills arent up to it. Never have been never will. Dont come back and say but Harts a good from set pieces, that isnt what a left back does. He cant defend. Both you and Arsenal are focussing more on defence than on attack. Trouble is unlike Arsenal you arent good enough to make it work.

By the way lets hope for more 01-02 vintage Fowler eh!!!

Don't start slagging Liverpool off (everybody seems to be jumping on that band wagon).

Just read the thread clown, I started it to say our season goes from bad to worse, but I am still proud to be Leeds. The first slagging off came from Liverpool fans, as it always does. Leeds fans just attempted to defend their club.

So don't start any of this d***head stuff, until you and your fellow supporters start talking genuine football talk, not slagging off other clubs and then getting upset when they smack back.

i think the leeds fans and liverpool fans (Which includes me) are just as bad as each other at slagging off each others teams
well the leeds fan may have been a lil worse but its probably from bitterness which i can understand
