New version dilemma

How many of you are playing old versions?
I'm playing 2000/2001, but the game before I was well into my 8/9th season. After I changed over I lost alot of enthusiasm, plus the new version plays really really slowly on my old computer.

well the new opne does have the skill masking element which makes it that bit harder, so more of a challenge

Yeah, I know, that's the problem. The new versions have all the features, but it's just so annoying, that you have to lose the game your really into and start all again.

It's a shame that that they can't release an up-date disk for the people that already have the game.

Well, as we all know, once you catch the bug, you just can't help yourself, which explains why I was sat at my computer at 01:10 this morning.
Most people look up porn, I just plot the down fall of Hertlepool in the 2nd round of the league cup. :sigh

for 3 years I played cm 97/98 but I shelled out for 01/02 and its great, cm4 will be great, but cm's like fifa, releasing simular games with updates

yeah but the advantage of a new version outweigh sticking with the old. you get bored of buying the same players everytime

This is one of the main reasons the game can get boring.

In every edition they add something new so it sort of keeps you hooked. What new features are they gonna add to cm4? I wish they would do more journalists/manager interaction, sort of like in Ultimate Soccer Manager.
