HOLY COW! Amazing gameday so far, ahh Bremen playing ******* amazing.
Not holy cow timo... Holy "******* Gladbach in the ***" cow
Yes, they played good, FOR 5 ******* MINUTES. In that time they raped us in the rear end and than puffed their cigarette after for 50 minutes, taking it lazy. I need a cucumber, I want to suffer with my team. I hope I will die of ****-break during it.
What a heartless, soulless, technical transvestive (Polanski) performance.
If I wont get drunk tonight, I would set the drinking priorities wrong.
Ahhh, I feel better now. Thanks for listening

Saw Wolfsburg v Bayern
What an interesting game and I have to say Augenthaler is a disgrace.
At 45 mins he orders Wolfsburg to defend-at 60 minutes he is playing a 7-3-0 system.Stone age football and with coaches like Augethaler you can see how German football struggles.
Now Magath-why bring criticism on yourself by bringing on **** like Karimi and Santa Cruz before Podolski ?
Hanke apart from his goal-showed that he has talent an can be a powerful player. He is at the wrong club though.
Ottl again impressed me-Schweini was better.
Lahm needs to improve his final ball but is class.
Lucio was very good.
Bayern need some creation and Pizarro for me is average.Pizarro and Makaay cannot play 2 games a week which is why Podolski should play.
Bayern need a better squad or they will struggle.
Van Bommel is okay-nothing special.
Madlung is not a NT player.

I have to say pretty equal table, with Schalke having the oportunity to get a small gap tomorow, but they dont look like its all gravy in the team after thursday.
Good to see that bayern doesnt win their games like they normally do currently. Where was van Bommel again? Not up to full form?

ok that was a great gameday! Exciting, thrilling and lots of goals! Please more of this!!! :nod
Bremen was fantastic today coughbayerncough in their minutes where they scored! I don't know what has happened with Hunt but that boy impressed me a lot in the last 2 games! I hope that he keeps this form up. The whole Bremen team was good today considering that they played their heart and soul out against Barca. Poor Gerry tho i hoped that Gladbach would do better away. If it helps i will get drunk with you tomorrow when stuttgart is losing! Deal? :drinkbeer
Good thing is, that lots of germans scored today. Hanke, Meier, Schulz, Hunt and Schlaudraff (great for his confidence now that he's invited to the NT. :clap)
hehe Bayern lost again. I wonder whats wrong with Magath. He annoys me big time with leaving Podolski on the bench. Instead he puts Makaay in the starting 11. When Poldi came on, Bayern had more chances than in the whole game! He never gives him a chance from beginning.
Frankfurt - HSV game was great too, very offensive game and you saw that the Hamburg defense missed Van Buyten and Boularouz. I'm impressed with Frankfurt, so many young player with fire and will to win. Its fun to watch. :nod
so now tomorrow Schalke, Stuttgart and Hertha could all be leading the table! Stuttgart if Schalke's losing and if we win against Hertha, Hertha if Schalke plays a draw and win against us and Schalke simply if they win! :laugh
I noticed that the league is really balanced atm! The first team on the table has 10 points! on the 6th gameday!!! At the moment 4 teams have 10 points! :dk

I dont think Podolski would have made a difference in case he would have started. I dont think it was Podolski, more that Magath played more offensively after Podolski coming on, so making it look that it was only him, but it is rediculuos. When Podolski played from the beginning he didnt do much either, so why blame Magath for leaving him out? Podolski Hype!
Never gives him a chance from the beginning... He had chances, but wasted them, if you care to remember.

Do you know how many times Podolski started from beginning in the Bundesliga?! ONCE in 6 gamedays!!!!! Excuse me but that tells me he's never been giving a real chance.
And good to know that you believe so much in Podolski. If you say he wouldnt have changed the game anyways you don't believe in him...fine I DO believe in him. That has absolutely nothing to do with Podolski hype. He's new at Bayern, its a new situation for him after fighting for relegation so many years he plays CL now. You want him to score in every game 2 goals and of course he should play fantastic in every game at the AGE OF 21! Give me a breake but dont you expect a little bit too much of him?
We all know he is a huge talent, but let him arrive in Munich first ffs, therefore he needs at least a half season IMO.

Makaay and Pizarro played 90 minutes at the San Siro in a difficult game-Podolski comes on and scores at the end-his confidence will be high...
So why not start with him ?
I hate Santa Cruz-he has been at Bayern for what ?..5 years now and done nothing
For Podolski to see Karimi play before him was the big insult-Karimi is terrible

You - like often - do not understand what I am meaning when I critisize Podolski. You take this productive criticismn as mindless bashing and come up with strange replies, like now.
I dont mind if he is scoring right now!!!!!!! understood? I dont mind if hes new at Bayern! understood? I dont mind if he is not 100%! understood? I dont mind if he plays bad right now! understood?
What I care about is his attitude he will have in his career. He never had an attitude to work like a horse. Ok, maybe it is his playing style until now, but I want him to get involved in the game more. I said this already 3-4 months after he first played in the BL. He is often too lazy. He will be a world class player one day if he works hard every game and not just looks to score goals. I want him to be a decisive factor in the game of a big team and "not just someone" how scores the goals. Of course he is too young to fulfill that right now, but the attitude is what he lacks many times when he feels he has no pressure.
Podolski got his chance after he scored 4 times for the NT in 2 games and disappointed (Bl and DFB-Pokal game). Now, because he didnt play, he would have made the difference suddenly if he would have started?
Please TImo ,do not give me the "you dont believe in him", since I saw him a few times, I always said he is a brilliant talent (unlike others and the same with Boateng), but he needs the right development and attitude. Magath looks to be teaching him that. Why do you think he ran a lot after his substitution today? Because he wanted to show something. Objective fulfilled by Magath. If he scores or not, I want to see him get involved in the game instead alibi-jogging he often does.
Please, stay a bit more objective and dont bash everything that is said about Podolski into the "hater", "none-believer" or "worse than english" dumpster, like someone we both know likes to do

No need for philosophy here. Bayern is not so strong this year and Magath is not so good coach, although he is good coach.
But, football is funny (unpredictable) game and maybe this year, inspite everything, Bayern will win CL. Cause Bayern has better names than Porto or Liverpool had when they won CL, only Magath has to improve his tactics better. :S And they need luck. I have feeling, inspite everything, this is lucky year for Bayern.

I heard an interesting theory from somebody some days ago. He said that he thinks that Magath is a good coach, but he cant motivate/lift his team into another sphere when they play against big teams. Maybe there is something to it.

well i guess we both have different opinions when it comes to Podolski.
And i am objective when i say he deserves to get a chance from beginning. Hunt played great against Barca > that's why he played today. Poldi scored a nice goal against Inter so why not give him the chance to continue in the BL? This goal gave him confidence so it would have been good trying to see how he does in the BL today. Makaay doesn't play a bit better than Poldi.
I'm happy as long as he scores and if he does score many goals i m totally fine with that. After all he is a striker and his job is to score goals. It would be a nice feature if he'd run more for the team but thats not his strenght. Of course he could do it but i think he'd lose his ability to score lots of goals.
Kuranyi works his ass off for the team most times, but he doesn't score when he does that. It's really, really hard to do both things and i dont think there are many striker in this world who do both things well. So i understand why you want Poldi to work more and still score goals, because you do know that he is talented, but i think its not his style.
Oh well we've had this discussion too often. Only time will tell. :drinkbeer

True, coach has to have this ability too. In fact some coaches have only this abilty, like Ćiro. But he had a great generation, I doubt Magath has something like that, he has "average" generation... so I say... call Otto! :S

I'm a great fan of Podolski and Bayern but for me, no matter that Podolski isn't in the starting 11. The BIG problem is to put rubbish player like Santa Cruz or Karimi instead of Podolsi :holy247 Podolski even in his worst day play better than them.....
And in some months it will be the same with Deisler. Karimi will paly or perhpas Dos Santos (is he a football player ?) and Deisler not.
It is the Magath strategy :ninja

For one I agree w Gerry:woot , a young player like Poldi needs to work his ass off, not just looking for easy tap-ins(like Maakay) or free header (like Mickey). He needs to adds a lot more dimension to his style - defending, creating etc.
Of course, he needs more playtime, but in order to get it, he needs to show his commitment in the training sessions. Kinda catch-22 things, but the largest portion of the onus of proof still lies with the player not the coach or others. Pardon some philos. bs.:cool

I dont think Bayern can do Liverpool or Porto coz their coaches - Benitez and Mourinho at that time are in a diifferent league compare our Bayern's Magath. Look at how he reacted yesterday - all he know when things went wrong is to change personnel, but same tactics. Worse he is making the wrong sub too, Van Bummer(who was useless) was not subbed and Bayern's Andy Cole was only subbed at the very end. Attack-wise Bayern has only one - go down the flank and send in a few crosses and that's it. No counter-attack strategy, middle option, dead-ball tricks(boy I really miss Hitzfield), Bayern used to have plenty of those and now there is none.
Also, Liverpool and Porto won their CL when there big names were not at their very best. This year I think Barca and esp Chelsea will not let anybody get in their way. But again like you say - in football never say never, right.:cool

Agree that Benitez and Mourinho are better coaches than Felix. I think Felix is not coach for big club with great ambitons. Think he is coach for solid club with solid ambitions or even for club who wants to stay in league (think he would do here a great job with his discipline). And Bayern is still big club.
However, if he will improve Bayerns form, with touch of luck Bayern can make good work in CL.
Cant say that big names were not at thier best when Liverpool and Porto won CL. Liverpool played against very strong Milan in final (and God knows how they succeded to come back after 0-3). Barca and Chelsea were strong at that time too. Juve, Real... big clubs are always hard to beat.
I have reall doubts about Barca for this year. Chelsea is not playing well atm. But yes, they look very very strong on paper.

Having now seen the highlights I have to concur that Gonzalo Castro was man of gameday 6. Amazing goals and his performance in general was practically flawless, very, very comfortable with the ball and tactically superb in timing his forward runs and defensive work. Germany have an absolute gem on their hands if his development continues in such fashion.
Diego gets second place, I love this guy, great for the Bundesliga, flair in abundance and really makes Bremen tick with his neat skills and threaded passing manoeuvres, outstanding, prob my new favourite.
Didn't see him play but Trochowski gets yet another 4.5 from kicker this week, the reviewers either hate him or he's turning out on the pitch playing in a wheelchair, very dissapointing. When that Dutchy Van Der Faart comes back he'll never see the pitch again in Hamburg colours the way things are going.

Oh wow.. quite a competitive league huh guys? I want more of that. Now we can say the league drama is building on. I know that Bayern will win it eventually (heheheee) but at least we'll be enjoying the show.
I liked the fact that young German talents managed to force their presence in small clubs and big clubs. Only Podolski is overmasked. But players like Hanke, Castro, Hunt, Meier & Schlaudraff proved they can perform better than (or at least same as) their older foreign counterparts.
The eager for victory is the most important motive.

I watched the Leverkusen v Schalke game on Sunday, very entertaining for a neutral. Don't usually watch much German football.
Castro's goals were great and I thought the link up play in attack between Voronin, Barbarez and Castro was nice to watch at times, some good moves. Even though Schalke played badly they still could have got a point, someone missed a free header and Lincoln was unlucky with that long shot.

Castro's goals are cool. But I don't think they can define the player's future :) I mean Lars Ricken scored a better goal in a much more important match yet he couldn't deliver afterwards on the international level.
Besides, both goals came assisted by a very bad Frank Rost positioning.
Anyhow, let's keep an eye on Gonzalo Castro and hail him only if he keeps on the good work. Only then will he earn a place in the 1st NT.
