I would have to go for Riedle, he was the one that was such a huge name before signing yet didnt do for us anywhere near what he had previously in his career

Rosenthal - never a fan of him and shanks knows my feelings on his miss against the villa

is that list the definitive list of flops then?
if so, what a crock of sh_it!!!
Out of those players Riedle never really forfilled all his promise, being a world cup winner and all, but we signed him for buttons so the fact he was merely a workhorse by the time we got him was no great loss.
Speedie came into the liverpool side and scored a winning goal in the derby and an equaliser at man u with a blinding volley, and gave his all in the 6mths we had him anbd was popular with our fans for his 100% commitment. We got him for buttons too.
I was there to see Rosenthal scored a hat trick on his debut against charlton at selhurst park, and his goals in that season gave us the momentum to clinch us our last title in 1990 after we had lost our way somewhat. Forget the villa miss as well, I much prefer to remember his last minute derby winner. He was also a big favourite with the fans FLop? FFS!! Anyone who voted for him is either too young to remember him, or hasnt got a mr magoo about football.
Westerveld. He had his dodgy moments, but we won the treble with him in goal, so flop? yet again, i think not.
Seriously, this top flop thing is seriously flawed if these are the top 4!!

Cant be the definitive list because none of them were really all that bad :laugh , its probably to clear a tie as you said.
Im not sure how this is being run with the differing no of people in each poll, so ive just voted in each round and left it at that lol.

I have to agree with you here. When someone mentioned Speedie, I thought what the f**k. In his short time with us he was a hero for the goals he scored. Heard him on Talksport last week, he comes across really thick.

Im entitled to my opinion, and the only one out of them 4 players who I would consider a flop in any shape or form would be riedle, even then, there were far worse players bought for far more money, who were far worse players.
I dont need to know how it works to tell you that Rosenthal, Speedie and westerveld were not flops, and therefore should not have even been on the list to vote for at all, which is why, in my considered opinion, the poll is flawed!!
Ill betcha diouf comes no.1, and if he doesnt the people on this forum, need lining up and machine gunning down!!

Pellegrino was worse than Diouf m8 - although granted, there is a slight difference in price tag!

Pelligrino was dog awful granted, but at 34 yrs age, on a free, I wasnt really expecting much!
When we signed diouf I was gutted, because i really wanted anelka, but obviously I then hoped we signed diouf instead because he was the better player. 10m and we had nothing but grief from that tw_At. He scored something pathetic like 6 goals in 3 seasons, and the spitting incident, was an absolute disgrace.
As for numbers 2 and 3 on the shi_t list, you could argue a strong case for Diao, and Cheyrou who also never came cheap at 9/10 million for the pair.
Add another 2 frenchmen to the list in diomede and ferri at a combined cost of approx 5m, and you really start to wonder if houllier was taking bungs for signing so many f_uckin duds!!
I mean why on earth did he sign any of those players?

Ur entitled to ur opinion, just make sure its an informed one next time lad. Did i pick the candidates? Was there a limited list you had to choose from? It was open to anyone to name any player they wanted. The poll format was also explained in other posts, again, something u failed to read or tale account of.
If u want to do it urself, volunteer ur service next time lad, until then try looking at how its worked, and who does what before steaming in there.

Also all the people supporting Speedie, do they not remember his headless chicken runs into people giving away needless free kicks and collecting plenty of bookings.

Shanks, seriously mate, dont take this so personally. I know you didnt come up with the lists to vote for, but I honestly think by even having those 4 players i mentioned to vote for, it genuinely makes a mockery of the whole concept.
I did not mean it as a personal dig at you, its not your fault if people choose 20 random names, some of the players who they name on there they are probably to young to have actually seen playing.
