Todesdrama nach OP
Bundesliga-Star Enke

Enke's daughter has had heart problems since she was born. The little girl only got 2 years old...now she is dead.

I know this is a little bit off topic, but i think it deserves an own thread where we can show our condolence to the Enke family.
I remember the scene where Enke walks on the pitch after a win and he was holding his daughter. That scene really touched me.

I wish the Enke family all the best for the future and hope both parents get over this tragedy ASAP. My deepest condolences. :(

Tragic..No parent should really have to bury their own child.

Oh, man, that is just awful. What could be worse than losing a child? My thoughts and prayers will be with Enke and his family as they try to cope with this tragedy. :(

Tragic. Nothing worse can happen to a parent. This is something you never really recover from.

Horrible news for Enke :(

As people have said here, it is the worst thing a parent can experience...

Is this the same robert enke that is a goalkeeper and had a spell at Benfica? or is it someone else?

Sad, sad news. Whenever I hear about the death of a footballer's child I just can't help but think of Kuffour and the first interview he gave after his loss. Good luck to Enke and his family.

Enke returns after tragedy
By Sam Hez - Created on 21 Sep 2006

Hannover keeper Robert Enke has resumed training four days after losing his youngest child.

Enke's two-year-old daughter Lara died on Sunday morning after surgery on her heart proved unsuccessful.

It remains to be seen whether Enke, who has started all of Hannover's games this season, will be involved against Bayer Leverkusen this Saturday.

The former Benfica man has been tipped for a first international call-up this autumn.

Germany coach Joachim Low is currently mulling over the make-up of his squad for next month's trip to Georgia.

Poor fellow i'm sure all of the fans will scream his name the whole 90 min on Saturday. :nod
