View Full Version : Bronkhorst out for 9 (gulp) months!

Arsenal players are definetly not faking injuries or diving when they go down holding a knee. Lauren got a knee injury after Ramelows horrendous tackle yesterday, but the worst news concern our Dutch internatinal.

Bronkhorst is out for 9 months. This is just too much. Why did Wenger ever sell Silvinho?! Silvinho could take the task immediately and be better than Upson/Lauren/whoever-they-can-find combined.

There is some mystique about this Arsenal team: despite injuries/suspensions they keep on winning. The side keeps on chancing and there is no permanent side (which usually means better results - if you have a consistent side) to play week in week out.

Arsenal got Seaman (gasp) at goal and Sol + leftovers in front of Seaman. How can this team win? They play Stepanovs,Dixon&Lauren(Juan) in defence, Grimandi&Wiltord out of position in midfield.. how do they keep on winning.. and for how long? This can not be true - this form must be a fluke and it will aruptly end in the weekend..

.. or is this destiny? Something that can overcome injuries/suspensions/distractions.. something even FA or ManU can not stop from happening!!! I´m amazed by this team.

nah don't worry we'll show you up on Saturday then you'll do what Wenger says and play a reserve team the Saturday after and we beat you 3 times this season :)

unfortunate, not a clever injury. Spare a thought for don Hunctionson as well who has the same injury.

I read about Don.. but he does not play for a CL & Premier championship contender - hence his injury will not have so much publicity/significance.

VB's injury isn't a massive blow as he's not that good a player. He shone in the second rate Scottish premier, but doesn't have to ability to pull it off in England.

The reason we're doing so well at the moment is because of our attacking options, Henry, Pires and Bergkamp.

If we play like we did last night, we'll more than make up for the ridiculous loss last year and beat the Geordies 3 - 1 :)

still leaves you without players. as much as he is average, its better than playing ome youth kid

Thanks for trying to get me spirits up kev.

But Arse is surely short of players. At least Bronk had experience and versatality. If only Arse had likes of Stephen Wright or Riise..

Arse SHOULD get one player in NOW - for the Premier.. it´s too late for CL. Someone to midfield or left back. Some british or dutch or german.. even french, who would adapt fast. Not south-american or mediterranian.

Deisler? Could he help us? Or Micheal Gray.. Damn!! We need somebody!
We don´t have enough bodies. Wiltord plays in midfield with Grimandi.

if Henry or Pires get injured i cant see arsenal winning games.

Also Arsene Wenger said he's not buying big

Man Utd without Van Nistelrooy, Liverpool without Owen, Newcastle without Shearer, we'd all miss our star forwards :roll-eyes

We do need players and when we offload Vieira, Kanu, Wiltord etc, we will spend the dosh on some world class performers, not another Van Bronkhorst.

Stephen Wright or Riise are not world class players, we want a higher quality player in our team if we want to go forward.

Vieira, Pires, Henry&Sol are the most influental Arse players. We could do well without one of them, but TWO!! :eek That would bring us down.

But Pool without Owen = nothing. Owen is far more important to Pool than any of player mentioned above are to Arse. I suppose ManU could manage without Ruud.. but without both Ruud&Keano! That would be beautiful..

Riise&Stephen W. are both better than Lauren/Dixon!! :eek

Wrong!!, I really rate Lauren, I think he has got even better after the African tournament.

Dixon still has the experience to get the job done, even though he has lost some of his speed.

Riise and SW are average players IMO, neither would get into the Arsenal side.

Lauren has no defensive skills!! He´s totally lost out there when he has to defend somebody. He can not position himself.

Dixon can position himself and has the experince and bit-bull attitude. His only problem is his pace. Giggsy makes mockery (FA Cup) out of him!! :eek Not good.

I´d rather have Stephen W. on the right side. And Ashley Cole is often injured - Riise is better there than Bronkhorst/Grimandi.

van bommel to arsenal?

dont know about that one.

riise by the way is far better than cole at arsenal its funny. cole isnt a defender and his positional sense is appaling at the top level. arsenal need to buy for the premeirship.

Remenber henry is going to be banned when he goes in front of the FA next week. March 6th is the hearing. a week later its vieria so arsenal are really going to struggle.

Next week I hope!!!!

:) :) :) :)

I hear Arse is getting Benarrivo - good move by Wenger.
Arsenal is so delpeted.. Benarrivo has experience and class.
Of course Benarrivo is not top notch, but at least he´s healthy?

where did you here that?

the guy is about 33 34. short term i think. interesting. need to buy in the summer. no vieria, well ahve 40 million instead.

Jere Markus

I´m certain Vieira is a smart man and will stay - he doesn´t want to become the next Anelka, Petit, Overmars.. does he? Players should not leave a club that makes them play on the top of their game - in exchange for a club where they turn into crap! Arsenal is one of the clubs that make players good. Really good. And when you leave the club, you lose some of your game. That´s just how it is.

Even when Vieira stays Arsenal has cash to get Hofland or Van Bommel.

The Benarrivo news is already at soccernet and other places too.

vieria is off the madrid, is a well known secret. by the way he wont turn crap at madrid he will become a better player. arsenal wil suffere without him. the only man in the premiership as good as him is keane at the scum
