Tomorrow, another big game in Scotland :D Celtic take on the Rangers for the first silverware of the season, the CIS cup, Larsson's back for the Bhoys, Ronnie the bore back for the forces of darkness, who will win ? Give us a score

My opinion Celtic 4 Rangers 2 ( High scoring but the right outcome :laugh )

C'mon the Bhoys

Well Ranger's won at the end of the day. Can't beleive that big diddy Hartson missed that penalty.

Rangers retain CIS Cup

Celtic 1-2 Rangers
Rangers gained quick revenge for last weekend's league defeat at Celtic Park by retaining the CIS Insurance Cup in a scintillating and controversial Old Firm final.

Recalled Claudio Caniggia and Peter Lovenkrands both fired home in the first half at Hampden Park.

Celtic got back into the game after the break through the prolific Henrik Larsson.

The league champions then had what looked like a genuine goal chopped off for offside, had Neil Lennon sent off, and John Hartson missed a penalty as Rangers held out for victory.

Celtic boss Martin O'Neill had avoided the temptation to rest some of his players with Thursday's second leg of the Uefa Cup quarter-final against Liverpool in mind.

However, he recalled captain Paul Lambert to the starting line-up, with Stilian Petrov dropping to the bench.

Rangers boss Alex McLeish made three changes, Caniggia, Michael Mols and Ronald de Boer replacing Neil McCann, Shota Arveladze and Maurice Ross.

Celtic dominated possession in the early stages, but it was Rangers who nearly took the lead after 14 minutes.

Peter Lovenkrands knocked the ball past advancing goalkeeper Rab Douglas only for Joos Valgaeren to clear off the line.

Rangers made the breakthrough after 23 minutes, when Lovenkrands escaped the attention of John Mjallby and crossed into the box.

The deflected ball evaded Mols and the slipping Valgaeren - and Caniggia was there to side-foot home from 10 yards.

It was two 12 minutes later, when Mols again found Lovenkrands breaking free of his marker and the Dane calmly slotted the ball past Douglas.

Celtic defender Bobo Balde was lucky to escape unpunished when he appeared to aim blows to the head of Lovenkrands and Mols off the ball.

O'Neill's side came out strongly in a footballing sense after the break.

They finally got back into the game after 57 minutes, when Larsson met Thompson's inswinging corner at the front post and the ball struck Klos in the face on its way into the net.

Celtic should have drawn level five minutes later, when Larsson pounced on an Arteta error and found Hartson inside the box.

The Welsh striker drove the ball home only to be ruled offside.

Larsson almost produced a carbon copy of his earlier goal after 77 minutes, but this time Klos parried the ball over the bar.

Celtic suffered a double blow when Sutton was stretchered off with a suspected broken wrist then Neil Lennon was sent off for a second yellow card.

They were given a lifeline when Lorenzo Amoruso pulled down Balde, but Hartson drilled his spot kick wide.

:crying :crying :crying :crying

Celtic got a going over first half :crying , Mjallby under pressure constantly by Lovenkrands, we just did not seem to know what to do first half. What was Bobo doing ? seemed to be carried away with sheer frustration and was lucky to get away with some of his antics.

Second half I enjoyed, we put a lot of pressure on the FOD and I thought we deserved to end the game level, not to be  AND Sutton out of v pool with a broken wrist ( waiting for news, Hope that's all), lots of other carrying niggles.

All round a s*** day, hiding in the house with the phone off the hook for tonight, WORK tomorrow :crying

USA Blue, Enjoy yer victory mate, it's the last celebration ( Fingers crossed) you have this season :nono

I thought Celtic had alot of the early possesion but it took them about 20 minutes to get the first shot on target. Weak Smith attempt i think. But in saying that Rangers could have taken the lead early on. After the goal line clearence i think Rangers took control and there was only going to be one winner.

As for the penalty, a professional Internationalist should not be missing peneltys like that, especially in cup finals. I bet ya Klos was laughing all the way up to collect his winners medal after not being tested there.

bottler must be :D Obviously didn't wanna miss cause if Hartson misses is hardly affect him anyway cause he's s***e ;) If Larsson missed it would have been more of a shock...guess only O'Neill knows anyway cause presumably he selects the spot kicker? Celtic fans...is it normally Hartson or was that strange to you as well...?

Larrson is Cetic's penalty taker. Don;t know why he didn't take that one though.

TBH didn't think it was that good a game, typical gers-bhoys match, get ball and run half the pitch then shoot, no real play, especially in midfield, although I will say now, I didn't get a chance to see it all, because I was in the middle of a pool tournament at the time, but I think I saw most of it, and didn't look all that interesting!!
