Group A
Barcelona
Chelsea
Bremen
Levski

Group B
Internazionale
Bayern
Sporting
Spartak Moskva

Group G
Arsenal
Porto
CSKA Moskva
Hamburg

-------------------------

Bremen has got very little chance, very likely to finish 3rd.. Bayern got togh draw(bremen was hit far worse), they might have a chance(but spielkader is fu**ed up)

Hamburg- if they manage to get a striker, they might finish 3rd...

But if I´m wrong and german teams progress easily- i will be evry happy to be wrong

Bayern will definitely advance

Don't underestimate Bremen! on a good day they're able to beat even Chelsea London and maybe advance with Barcelona.

Hamburg should manage to advance too.

Bremen has by far the most difficult group but it isn't impossible because Werder Bremen seems to be a better team that Munich by now. They can beat everyone, except Barcelona!

Yes Bremen has a tough draw, but don't write them off yet. They have the weapons to upset Chelsea or Barcelona ---- but they will definitely be 3rd favourites in the group. Many people will say that Barca and Chelsea is the most likely final!!!
Bayern should get through --- I think Hamburg should make it too.

I concur, Barcelona is a perfect functioning machine. Chelsea is the team that could slip. When Bremen will have good form with Naldo and Merte being in great form and Klose and Diego playing good I see a decent chance to win at home and to draw at Chelsea

Ah **** Werder is unlucky. :( Still i have faith in them i think they can beat one of the big clubs on their day and make it to the next round. :nod Bayern to go through also HSV seem to have a good chance. Bugger about Bremen, though i m sure we'll see one hell of a performance against Chelsea and Barca. Good luck to all clubs!

Bremen is the unluckiest of the lot. I see Chelsea and Barcelona as this season's finalist. Anyhow, let's hope that Bremen can spring a surprise and eliminate Chelsea.

Bayern have an excellent chance, ditto hamburg

Playing in Moskau in the winter is quite awful.Quite a expirience.

And I don't think Bremen's game is over. They are outstanding, as well.If Diego, Klose and Mertesacker are in good form:clap

It's unfortunate for Bremen but a good test of their metal, they are a good up-and-coming German team with an offensive philosophy and they are more than capable of an upset, I have high hopes.

Bayern will scrape through unspectacularly as they usually do in the early stages, Hargreaves will be a big loss when he inevitably decides to leave for England, if you can't see that on the horizon may I congratulate you on your singing voice, I particularly enjoyed the song 'Ebony and Ivory' with Paul McCartney.

Hamburg in my opinion are a transitional mish mash and will be the first German team to take the early bath. They don't have enough striking power, read the lightweight Paulo Guerrero, or midfield bite to last the pace, for me unlike Bayern and Bremen they fit the label of 'just another Bundesliga team' who don't have the quality for the CL, shame.

Bayern to progress, Bremen to ruffle a few feathers, Hamburg to flounder.

Bremen matches against Bercelona and Chealse will be good competitive test for the German members in the team especially Mertesacker and Fritz. I hope that Klose, Frings, Borowoski, Schultz and Owomoyela will shine in the competition to be able to serve the NT with more confidence.

Futhermore, I hope that Podolski, Schwieni, and Lahm will show thier class with Bayern. Deisler may catch the last 2 matches hopefully. Lell can play for some minutes.

Champions league IMO is deemed the most competitive area for German young players to get a national call.

Good luck Trochowski and Lauth in finding place in your team.

Don't tell me you're judging Werder on the performance tonight!
Like you said even the big teams struggle and in the CL everything is possible. The motivation of the player is so much different when they play CL. Every game is a new opportunity and i m sure Werder CAN beat Chelsea or Barca! It's simply not right to judge a team after a bad game. Werder has quality player they can make it to the next round, so can Barca and Chelsea. You also need to have luck these days(cougthjuvelastseasoncought  )

Barca are overrated-not enough hard working players like Frings in their team
Ronaldinho was average in the CL final and was **** in the world cup-the big flop of the wm

Bremen can get out of this group if they win their home games

Bremen must use their home advantages. If Klose,Klasnic, Borowski, Frings,Mertesacker and Diego all in good form I dont see a reason why they cant beat Chelsea or even Barcelona...
Come on Bremen! Prove them wrong!!!

If Bremen just once accepted that they might have to give up their attacking football at some games they might go far...

I wont be surprised if all 3 teams go through or all end up 3rd/4th. The ball is round and Im really looking forward to see Werder vs Chelsea/Barca. Still Bayern got the highest chances to qualify...

ps - Any Werder fans here comming to London?

Puyol, Marquez, Motta all work pretty hard. Just saying.

i see bremen as the most attack-minded team after barcelona.

hope they can eliminate chelsea.

sadly ballack will go out together with chelsea.

although not a true big fan of ballack. he's still a german player

want to see as many german players in the CL

I think Hamburg will go through, the only difficulties they will have is Arsenal away, Bayern have a difficult group but i fancy them to go through, we (werder) obiuosly have the hardest group but i think we will still prgress, 2-1 at the Weser against Chelsea for me, (i already have a £2 bet on it) lol

klose is out, so.. without best striker.. they say there might be a chance he could play, but they did say, if the game was tonight- he couldnt.. or is this just media war?
