Dado Prso has announced his retirement from international football in order to concentrate on playing for Rangers.
Before this summer's World Cup finals, the 32-year-old striker hinted that it may be his final appearance with Croatia and this has been confirmed.
The former Monaco hitman believed the strain of playing both domestic and international football was getting too much and will now fully focus on being part of Paul Le Guen's revolution at Ibrox.
Croatian FA President Vlatko Markovic regrettably accepted Prso's wish and said: "Dado has been one of the best players Croatia have had over the past few years.
"But the strain of playing in four tournaments - the Scottish league, the Scottish Cup, Europe and internationals - would have proved too much for him.
"Something had to go and he chose to give up playing for Croatia."
