the club where all the talents come from, the club who has the best youth in the world

AFC Ajax Amsterdam

I think its a big talent, he has technic skills, overwatch, a bit of speed, smartnes. he is like Rafael Van Der Vaart, but I think Rafael is just a bit better. but for the future he is a great one

Good player, really loved to see him play as he is a real utreg kid. Boy from the streets of Utreg, a shame he doesn't play for us...

van Basten, Wouters, van Veen and now Sneijder maybe...connected by (having)played for a s*** club, but what a beautiful city they grew up..http://www.forza-utreg.nl/startforum/images/graemlins/fcdomh.gif

Best youth in the world, maybe some years ago but not now. The big difference is that Ajax dares (not totally by own choice, also because of the number of injuries) to use youth players, instead of Feyenoord/PSV who gives the own youth not enough chances. Van Marwijk isn't a good manager for young players, I think.

But ontopic: I saw Sneijder play yesterday for Holland U21 and he did pretty well. Really a leader in that team, he got the potentials, but I think it's too early now for really saying something about his future.

I wouldn't compare him too VDV, but he's a big talent!

He played very well against feyenoord, except for the first 20 minutes when he was a little bit nervous...

He's certainly able to become a big player, but we'll have to wait and see...

VDV is a bigger talent, and looking at his potential he could be a legend. Only he's injured so much, I don't know if he's going to make it...

It looks that he won't be playing against Arsenal at Highbury, due to his injury.....

Ah well, maybe that leaves a spot for Wesley Sneijder, so he can play against AJAX. Than the world meets another star born at AJAX.... :cool

Saw that horrible match to, holland u21 lost to south korea and they didnt had that many chances.

Sneijder is a good player but he is not that good than vd vaart. But i cant say anything about his future to, i agree with excelsior far to early to comment about his future.

I think Sneijder is a big talent, with a good technique. I think he can be the new v/d vaart.

Well, I just say AJAX produced Cruijff and v.Basten and probably a lot of other former stars, but who were before my time, so I don't know that exactly..

Than we had the '95 generation, Kluivert, Seedorf, Davids. Before that Bergkamp..

Now we have VDV, who'll surely be big, and we have to wait and see how far Sneijder and de Jong are going to reach..

Just forgetting about the players we bought aged 17/18/19 and who became big here..

That was the unbelievable generation but the only one. Cruff example is the same for a hell of a lot of clubs in the worlf after all great players have to start somewhere ;)

Hmmm, but I doubt Cruijff was the only one that came from AJAX's youth academy in our 70s team. I suspect there are more players from that team that came from AJAX's youth academy, but I'm not sure since I didn't live in that time..

If he goes on like this he could be one of the biggest talents of the last years and he´s in the dutch national team already
