Vicente insists he has not given up hope of making Spain's World Cup squad, but admits his prospects are looking increasingly bleak.
The left-sided star has been on the sidelines since injuring his right ankle in a league game with Osasuna back in January.
A similar complaint saw him miss a sizeable chunk of last term and he has managed only 28 league starts for his club over the last two seasons.
With Spain's squad set to be announced on May 15 he has only two league games left to push his claims, but realises he will have to play through the pain barrier to do just that.
His ankle is still not completely healed, but the 24-year-old is desperate to impress coach Luis Aragones who is giving him every chance.
"At the moment I think it will be very difficult to make it, but it is the coach's decision," he stated.
"I have spoken with Luis Aragones and he still wants to give me a little longer.
"I just want to play now whether I am in pain or not. My objective is to play in the next two league matches even if I am not 100 percent. "Germany is a long way off for me right now, but I am an optimistic person and I want to fight for my chance."

if there was no reyes, id be worried. but theres a trillion midfielders in spain that can make the starting lineup, and aragones doesnt even have to use wingers. vicente is a big loss, but reyes is an excellent choice.

Vicente is definitely better than Reyes, he is more direct and always puts in a 110% effort every game I've seen him play. He will surely be missed if he doesn't make it.
