read the article dont hate germans, heck i live near the border of germany. Played a few friendlies over there, and 1 thing that surprised me was that the lower leaque club doesnt have line referees. Thought that was real strange.

Interesting article. I didnt know the Dutch (supposedly) looked down on the Germans.....anyway to my mind the most snooty race is the French by far. They try and look down on everyone...assholes

lately the rivalry with the netherlands has gotten more intense.. but not for the reasons they give..

the war has been over for 60 years, get over it.. the reason they are rivals is because even though they are geographical nieghbors the germans and dutch have very different cultures and views..

and yes USABlue the french are arrogant b******s, even the ones we have in canada 9who arent true french) are arrogant b******s at times.. what do they have to brag about? hairy women? record breaking surrendering ability?

The weird thing is they dont have to be arrogant garlic smelling hairy pitted scumbags. Madcap is a French Canadian and hes real nice....I suppose its just the other 99.999 percent of em that want a good SLAP

but there must be something in the water in Montreal, good people and hot women. But i still dont like the french (for the most part)

i don't think the dutch hate the germans because of the war, it had nothing to do with the dutch, like orswich said it was over 60 years ago so get over it! if they weren't neighbours, i doubt they would hate each other as much

I think the Dutch hate the Germans because Germany have been more successful than the Dutch both at club and international level even though Holland has had the more than fair share of great players and a great way of playing 'Total Football'

1974 was a bitter pill to swallow for the Dutch as arguably one of the greatest sides in the world football were beaten by Germany and their version of 'Total Football' ,2-1 in Munich.Look at Cruyff's behaviour in the final for instance-constanly moaning.

Germany then went on to dominate football in the 1970s.

As Rudi Voller says Holland have the better technicians but Germany win things!
