Porto SAD admits to selling players after this season

I can't believe none posted this yet, pretty old news, well just a few days old :cool

Well, were earning less than what were getting before. From the period June to December 2005 were a negative of about 11,1 million Euros although it is an improvement from last year. Well the main reason was not going to the 2nd phase of the Champions League (losses of at least 3.6 million Euros). Porto's SAD admits to the need of selling some players at the end of this season to close the gap. No word which player(s) are moving.

I would sell a bunch of players, most of the players we have on loan are useless imo other than Vale.

I would get rid of Sonkaya, Alan, Alves(Pick up another CB, we are short), Diego, and Ivanildo(Piexoto will be back)

a) both are on low wages IMO
b)both are portuguese and young
c) alves has been ok apart from a few mistakes, but look at pepe last year
d)ivanildo is seen as a propsect for the future, would be financially irresponsible to sell him now

i don't think we need Ivanildo, yes we don't have many wingers, but we have versatile players who can play on the wing, such as Lucho, Anderson, Lisandro and Peixoto(maybe more..my mind went blank)..

we don't need to get rid of him, we can loan him to another team in Portugal

You hav some amazing youngsters...helder barbosa, maradona, bruno gama all should be in the squad next year, amazing young players.

Cech is a rb. Play him as a rb, and Peixoto as a lb, and Ze Castro is a great player, and will only get better.

What you are talking about is the loss they made in the financial year.

They made a loss of £100m or so, but it is not debt, as they have Roman Abramovich who is worth £8billion or something

are you sure ,juve and the big teams are well aware of quaresma journey as a player and let ous play with the taought that he goes to the wc and does very well for portugal ,then porto will have a hard time to hold on to him .same with lucho he is the second choice now after cambiasso in the nt and pplays with aimar .
