Sebastian Kehl

[Paradox]

From the 6-7 Dortmund matches I have watched, Kehl has really caught my eye and I was just wandering what you all think of him. He looks like he would fit in well with Arsenal but does he have the quality to make it in the Champions League? Or have I just seen him on good days

Hehe I for one love to watch Kehl playing :nod He is a player with heart and passion. 2 years ago he got a red card in almost every single game! But he changed and he has it under control now. I started to notice him when he played for Freiburg and i always wanted him to play for Stuttgart someday! :laugh

IMO he belongs to the best defensive midfielder in the Bundesliga, though he gets not much credit for it. He won over 65% of his duels this season :nod

I think he could play CL anyday and would fit perfectly into the Arsenal team. Also there'd be no problem with the language, since Wenger, Hleb and Lehmann all speak German! :D LOL

He's probably one of the top 5 players in Germany in my opinion, but I reckon Gilberto is a better player at the Arse in his position. Kehl is very under rated though and would certainly be able to do a job in the EPL.

You say he's good but then you say Gilberto is better? Im confused, even Cygan's looking like a better player at the moment, and he's injured

Kehl had a lot of potential when he was still with Freiburg, people said he was going to be the next Beckenbauer... but once he moved to Dorfmund, he never really became the player everyone was expecting; he is still a solid player though but nothing special.

Guys.. why do U think Kehl is under rated? Perhaps his technical skill in extracting the ball is wonderful but his tactical ability is under developed. Has Voeller added him ever to the NT?

Scorpion, you can't have a team with 11 Zinedine Zidanes. You need your steady, no-nonsense players. France have Makelele to play behind Zidane, Germany should have Kehl to play behind their more creative players. Not that I am comparing Kehl to Makelele.

I saw him in Dortmund-Bremen 3 weeks ago and Baumann was just as good-he doesn't catch my eye at all and he certainly does not have the experience you need to be DM for the NT
