Former German international Carsten Jancker has been told he has no future at Kaiserslautern.

Red Devils coach Wolfgang Wolf revealed on Thursday that he had decided to axe the 31-year-old striker from his squad.

"I've told him that I am no longer planning with him in the future," said Wolf.

Jancker, who reached the 2002 World Cup final with Germany, has struggled to make a significant impact at the Betzenberg Stadium since arriving from Serie A outfit Udinese in 2004.

A series of injuries and lack of form have limited the former Bayern Munich frontman to just five Bundesliga appearances this season in which he has yet to find the back of the net.

Despite having no future at Kaiserslautern, Jancker is not considering an early retirement.

"I will now have to try and find another club," Jancker stated.

Hmmm incredible and Carsten Jancker in the same sentence, interesting, but if that overhead would have gone in he would have gone down in history and been idolised, so close Carsten.
