View Full Version : UEFA Cup: All German teams on way out?

Hertha and Stuttgart will need miracles to get through after losing at home. HSV have a better chance, as they'll be at home, but without an away goal it'll be tough, and just one Thun goal means HSV will need three. Schalke are the only German team not to lose, but a 2-1 home win is no guarantee of success, as Espanyol have an away goal.
Could it be that all Bundesliga teams are on their way out? With Werder and Bayern playing Milan and Juve, Germany could be out of Europe within a couple of weeks.
Timo will no doubt twist this and say that the rest will do the German players good for the World Cup. :devil

Sorry what is wrong with you Bwolf? I thought you were a Bundesliga fan? Did you ever say something positive about it?! Your negative talking annoys me.
You don't know if they'll all get kicked out, have you ever heard of turning a game around?!?
The CL games haven't even started. And the other teams have all a fair chance of reaching the next round. I'm not gonna comment this at the moment, you should know football better...everything is possible.
If it means noone will reach the next round in the Uefa-Cup, then you should worry too as a Bundesliga fan  and not enjoy it.
Though i do balme this ******* winterbreak for the situation we have right now. It's every year the same. When the season starts our teams are in pretty good shape and they do good in the Uefa-Cup/CL, but then after the winterbreak they all seem to lose their rythm and fitness.

I am not enjoying it, this is the second or third season that German clubs haven't done well in Europe, and believe it or not I am a fan of the Bundesliga. Bayern might beat Milan, Werder (with a lot of luck) might beat Juve, but what I am trying to say is that the results in the UEFA Cup this week have been bad for German clubs.
Yes it is critical, I know. However, the situation is bad and I want to talk about it and find reasons for it. Your point is good about the winter break, but why all the aother **** in your post.
BTW, what the **** am i supposed to say? Gosh, Hertha's result against a Romanian team at home was not too bad, they were really unlucky with their ONE shot on goal.
I am stating facts, not taking the piss.

LOL i state facts too (especially when it comes to the NT) :D ;)
Everything is possible in football, they still can turn around their matches.
I just don't like your attitude in seeing everything negative. Of course I agree with the fact that Hertha was poor. You can't lose against a Romanian team like that. I'm not calling that good, not at all.
Though we dominated the game, it was such an unlucky loss (we have the pest somehow) and Thun is not an easy opponent either. If i remember it right Thun almost won against Arsenal. They are a wall at home. Hamburg will play better at home, and we are stronger when not playing at home.
I'm just saying as long as they have the chance to reach the next round, I m trying to think positive. If they all get kicked out we must talk about the reasons.
Though the winterbreak is definitely the main reason IMO.

Why the **** do we need a miracle? It's not that dire. A 1-0 loss at home isn't the bad.

Good god... the teams that lost only lost by one goal!
That's Jack squat, getting one goal back (even away from home) is not that imposible. @ Wolf maybe the English pack their bags after being one goal down after the first leg but that's not the German way!
