Rangnick is top candidate for the job along with Armin Veh!

:ninja I don't know what to think. On one side i m sad it didn't work out, on the other side I want to see FOOTBALL again! I want to see a VfB who attacks!

It will be interesting to see if the new coach can change something. I hope the new guy brings in the fire again...the fire we had 3 years ago.

Good luck to the new coach! Thanks to Trapattoni for giving Gomez and Gentner a chance :clap :(

Bit of a shocker really, didn't expect that at all. He didn't even managae to stay in the job as long as Sammer!

Armin Veh has just been announced manager till the end of the season.

He should have been sacked sooner. Stuttgart went downhill with Trap.

Tomasson was benched, because he was sick and tired of Trap's defensive play. And said to the media: Today I can sit from the bench and see the beautifully long played ball's going into nowhere..

I wish him good luck :nod maybe he goes the same path like Magath (though without going to Bayern!) :cool I heard his coaching ways are similar to Magaths...hard to the players, and more offensive.

LOL and Ebo, Timo's goalkeeping coach is back in the team! :drinkbeer

He should shut his mouth and play better! I don't like player who complain (same with Gronkjear). They can complain, if they play good, but Tomasson didn't play good in the last few games, so he should mind his own business first.

Many VfB-fans loved Trap and are disappointed now. Well, he has won so much in the past with big teams and that gave us hope too. We are a small club if you compare us to Milan. Most of us were just honored to have him as coach. :nod

Aside from that, Trap is a real gentelman :nod

Yes thats why (added to the fact he won a lot) I think he doesn't deserve the harsh comments I've read in this thread.

He works hard, he has won more than most of other coaches (and in three different countries), he has passion, he is a serious professionist and for sure deserve more respect from people who probably know very few of him.

He still has my respect :nod and most of the VfB fans loved him. It just never made "click" between Trap and Stuttgart.

I am sorry he didn't make it with Stuttgart, I really thought he would improve them after the Sammer debacle. He certainly is a special character, can't forget his outburst during a Bayern press conference, I wish him all the best; hopefully Stuttgart can get some results now because they deserve it.
